VonGarland Castle : Beyond Blood changes
It’s still coming!... albeit slowly. I’m still making headway on 1.1, but with everything I changed and added, I ended up biting off more than I realized. I needed to go back in and adjust and rewrite a lot more code than I first thought I would. :\\
But it’s getting there! I'm working on fine tuning the enemies and bosses at the moment. I decided since I was going back over the whole thing, I should try to fix up the lore a bit too. Most likely, I will cut Frank Fowler out altogether, as he feels a bit too much like a cheap Jack Krauser. Instead, I’m turning The Wolfer-X into more of a standalone character: “Shiver/The Wolfer-X.”
I'm not saying I’m making anything incredible here in terms of story, but I think it’ll jazz it up a bit! I'm also changing the first Zompire boss so he is a bit harder—plus, you might encounter him more than once now.
I also had to take a quick detour to get another game (My Only Heroes) I’m working on a bit further along so I can try to enter it into a fest. If you like roguelike deckbuilders, by all means, go wishlist and follow—it would help me out a lot!
Side note: Duke VonGarland is an unlockable card, as all my games must be connected and take place in the same realm, lol. All in all, though, I think it has a pretty fun gameplay loop; I’ve been enjoying testing it. I took some inspiration from Mission Mode in SoulCalibur for the Dreamcast because I really loved that mode back in the day.
In any case, MOH is more in order now, and I’m putting my focus back onto VCBB 1.1 so I can hopefully get it out pretty soon. Sorry for the hold up, folks!
