Void Salvage changes
0.9.1.7
Service dock layout has been rebuilt with fixed options for hull repair, fuel refill, weapon tuning, tier upgrades, integrity repair, and drawback removal.
Ping dialog rewards, costs, and requirements have been reorganized for easier reading.
Credits screen links are now clickable and open in the Steam overlay when available.
Credits scrolling pauses while hovering clickable links.
0.9.1.6
This update focuses on improved service docks, better POI intel, clearer rewards, save recovery fixes, and balance changes for socket bonuses.
Service Dock Improvements
Service docks now offer more useful system services, including integrity repair, drawback removal, and system tier upgrades.
Weapon tuning now only allows a maximum of 2 temporary weapon boosters at once.
Stores and service docks now stay open after purchases where appropriate, making it easier to buy or apply multiple upgrades.
Used service dock options now become unavailable instead of being purchasable again during the same visit.
Better Item and Reward Clarity
Updated many item, augment, drone, and socket bonus descriptions to show their actual effect values.
Replacement prompts now show clearer tier comparisons.
System tooltips now show clearer total value information.
Socket reward jobs can no longer be turned in if there is no eligible installed system.
Socket reward tooltips now show an error when blocked: [c]ERROR: Must have an installed system with less than 3 sockets.[/c]
Socket rewards no longer fall back into generic module loot when they cannot be applied.
Socket Bonus Balance
Flat-value socket bonuses were converted into percentage-based effects to prevent extreme stacking.
Impact Dampeners was reworked from flat hull damage reduction into percentage-based low-hull damage reduction.
Impact Dampeners now only activates while hull is at 25% or less.
Overflow Baffles now reduces shield overflow damage by 10%, no longer scales by tier, and now activates only when shields break, reduces the next hull hit once, then turns off.
Old saves with higher Overflow Baffles values are now clamped and displayed as 10%.
Vector Thrusters now only improves missile evasion instead of general evasion.
Shield Leech now only restores shield while current shield is below 50%.
Proc Amplifier now only boosts on-hit chance while shields are down.
Drone Damage now correctly applies as a runtime percentage bonus, but only while hull is below 50%.
Max shield, max fuel, max hull, salvage value, and weapon damage socket bonuses now scale by percentage.
Reactive Pulse now deals damage based on weapon damage.
Shield Overload now deals damage based on max shield.
Miss Ledger now adds percentage damage to the next hit after each miss.
Vector Thrusters tier scaling was reduced to prevent runaway evasion stacking.
Improved POI Intel
POI hover information has been expanded and reorganized.
POIs can now show salvage count, enemy count, distance, fuel cost, threat level, and faction information.
Minimal POI info now shows reinforcement wave count, salvage count, and starting enemy count when available.
Certain POIs now contain more derelicts and enemies.
Salvage count is now pre-rolled per POI so previews better represent what is waiting at that destination.
HUD and UI Polish
Added small HUD animations when Hull, Fuel, XP, and Credit values increase.
Main Drone HP and respawn progress are now shown more clearly in the top HUD.
Added sector and area display to the top HUD.
Updated several card visuals for cleaner and more consistent UI.
Core Upgrade Changes
Hull Repair Speed has been replaced with Hull Jump Repair, which repairs the ship on each jump.
Fixes
Fixed old saves that could load into a stranded state with no usable POIs.
Fixed Reroute being consumed even when it failed to restore a usable route.
If a save is near the final jump, navigation recovery now restores the Jump Gate instead of spawning hidden normal POIs.
Added passive recovery for old saves that load with no usable navigation route.
Fixed pause behavior while the upgrade menu is open.
Fixed pursuit ambushes being able to trigger on Jump Gate POIs.
Fixed job terminals being treated like paid service prompts.
Fixed several service dock edge cases around repeat purchases and unavailable targets.
Fixed Death Defy timing to avoid deprecated timing behavior.
Added old-save conversion for several changed socket bonus values.
Improved several labels, tooltips, and localization strings. Hello salvagers,
