Today is a special day for us.

After years of development, countless iterations, playtests, and community feedback, we can finally say it:

Void Future: Hacking Protocol will launch on July 23, 2026

When we first started this project, the goal was simple: create a hacking game where hacking isn't just a minigame. We wanted every interaction with the terminal to feel like an important part of the experience rather than a side activity.

Since then, the project has grown far beyond what we originally imagined.

The Last Two Months

While things may have seemed quiet from the outside, these past weeks have probably been the busiest period of the entire project.

Most of our work has been focused on preparing the game for release rather than adding new features.

Voice Acting

All NPC dialogue has now been recorded and implemented into the game.

Hearing these characters come to life has been incredibly rewarding, and we believe it adds a whole new layer to the world of Void Future: Hacking Protocol.

Localization

We've also spent a significant amount of time improving translations across every supported language,

Bug Fixes & Community Feedback

A huge portion of our time went into polishing the experience.

Many bugs reported during the demo and Steam Next Fest have now been fixed, along with dozens of smaller improvements suggested by the community.

Looking Back

It's been amazing watching the game evolve.

Some of you have been following the project since the launch of the Steam page. Others discovered it during Steam Next Fest or the other fests. No matter when you joined us, your feedback has helped shape Void Future: Hacking Protocol into a much better game.

For that, thank you!!!

What's Next?

Even though we're approaching release, development isn't stopping.

Our immediate focus after launch will be:

  • fixing any issues that players discover (dooh)

  • continuing to improve performance (hopefully)

  • delivering post-launch updates where needed

And of course...

We already have a few ideas we'd love to explore after release.

Thank You

Making games as a small independent team is never easy.

There are moments when progress feels slow, unexpected problems appear, and plans have to change. Plenty of these moments, trust us!

Through all of that, your wishlists, comments, bug reports, discussions, and encouragement kept us moving forward.

We're incredibly grateful for everyone who's supported the project along the way.

The finish line is finally in sight.

We'll see you in Heaven.
