changedSo, what exactly has changed?

We haven't shared many updates recently, but that doesn't mean development has slowed down. In fact, the entire team has been hard at work on a major overhaul and redesign to bring you an even better Voice of Belldona.

This update focuses on two major changes:

  • Battles have been simplified from four --> three characters per side.

  • Classic Mode has been completely rebuilt.

First, with battles now featuring just three characters on each side, combat will be much cleaner and easier to read. You'll be able to keep track of both your team and the enemy more easily, while focusing on Voice of Belldona's core mechanic: the positioning system. Every placement and every decision will now carry even more weight.

At the same time, we've completely reworked Classic Mode.

The goal of this redesign is to create a version of Voice of Belldona that appeals to every type of player. Whether you enjoy immersing yourself in the story and characters, experimenting with the strongest builds and team compositions, or constantly pushing yourself to overcome greater challenges, we want everyone to be able to enjoy the game in their own way.

So, what exactly has changed?

Let's take a look at all the changes, one feature at a time!

Battles Now Feature 3 Characters Per Side

A Cleaner Battlefield

After carefully reviewing everyone's feedback, we came to an important realization.

The strategic depth of Voice of Belldona doesn't come from "controlling more characters at once". It comes from positioning, skill synergies, and the decisions you make each turn.

To realign the game with this concept, we had to take a closer look at these issues:

Information overload

  • A single battle from the old version (including both teams, airborne units, and summoned creatures) could easily end up with more than a dozen units in total.

  • The overwhelming number of units cluttered up the battlefield, making it easy for players to miss key combat details.

Aerial Enemies

  • Since airborne units were typically only acquired later in the game (and some builds could barely access them at all) many players spent long stretches fighting enemy airborne units without ever having the chance to build or experiment with an aerial squad of their own.

As a result, we've decided to reduce battles to three characters per side while completely integrating the aerial system into the game's other mechanics.

"What happens to flying enemies?"

  • This update isn't removing the aerial system entirely.

  • We've preserved the parts that made it fun and incorporated them into other gameplay systems. As a result, all aerial-related statuses, cards, and abilities have been redesigned and rebalanced to fit this new direction.

We hope these changes not only make combat smoother but also help players focus on what makes every battle truly exciting.

Now, let's take a closer look at some of the changes we've made.

Classic Mode Completely Reimagined

Discover your own Voice of Belldona

Through your feedback, we gained a deeper understanding of the players of Voice of Belldona.

Some players enjoy studying decks and strategies, seeking to create the strongest builds. Some enjoy the challenge of higher difficulty and constantly pushing their limits. Others care more about the characters, story, and worldbuilding, preferring to slowly experience the entire journey.

In the past, Classic Mode was unable to fully accommodate these different playstyles. Therefore, we decided to completely rebuild the entire Classic Mode.

The biggest goal of this rework is to return the freedom of choice to you!

  • If you enjoy the story, you can experience the narrative at your own pace.

  • If you enjoy experimenting with builds, you can freely try out more different combinations.

  • If you love challenges, we have prepared brand-new systems waiting for you to conquer.

Dreamweaver

Create your own experience

The new Classic Mode is no longer simply divided into difficulty levels ranging from Easy to Hard.

We have designed worlds with different focuses, such as Warbound Realm, which emphasizes fast-paced and satisfying combat, and Exploration Realm, which is designed for players who prefer to take their time exploring events and experiencing different gameplay elements.

But if these presets still cannot satisfy you, then Dreamweaver was made for you.

After choosing any world, you can use Dreamweaver to freely adjust various game rules and create an adventure that is uniquely yours.

Want a more relaxed experience?

  • Disable resource consumption when moving.

  • Reduce enemy strength.

  • Give yourself additional starting upgrades.

Want to test your limits?

  • Increase enemy health and attack power.

  • Add various special restrictions.

  • Activate more Dreamweaver modifiers to create unprecedented high-difficulty challenges.

Or perhaps you simply want to experience a version of Voice of Belldona that is completely different from everyone else’s.

No problem.

Just pick the rules you prefer and create your own unique way to play.

A Brand-New Scoring System

We have added a new scoring system, allowing players who enjoy challenges to pursue higher scores.

You will be able to freely adjust various challenge conditions, increasing the difficulty while earning higher scores by completing additional restrictions and objectives.

In addition, your scores can be converted into a new unlock resource— Memory Threads, ensuring that every challenge brings meaningful rewards, rather than just becoming another number on a leaderboard.

A New Unlock System

We have also redesigned the game’s unlock progression.

Previously, many features could only be unlocked gradually by clearing specific difficulty levels. After this redesign, you can earn tokens through gameplay and freely exchange them for the content you want.

Whether it’s characters, cards, blessings, or other collectible elements, you can decide the order in which you unlock content based on your own preferences, rather than being restricted by a fixed progression path.

We want every player to grow at their own pace, because we believe that Voice of Belldona should never have only one way to play. Whether you love the story, enjoy experimenting with builds, or seek the thrill of overcoming extreme challenges, the new Classic Mode will offer a way for you to find your own enjoyment.

Share Your World

If you create an adventure that is especially fun, incredibly difficult, or completely absurd, don’t forget to share it with other players.

Every Dreamweaver configuration will generate a unique code.

Simply share the code with friends or post it on community platforms, and other players can instantly apply the exact same settings and challenge the world you created.

Perhaps, the most popular way to play will be created by you!

Moving forward, we will continue adjusting and improving the game based on everyone’s feedback.
