At the core, Valor Mortis is a challenging experience, so this Demo is also our way of fine tuning that difficulty.

It serves as a tutorial for the first-person soulslike combat system. Even if you have played it before, we have refined and polished every aspect of the game, so I hope you’ll try it again and let us know how it feels.
addedPlay the Valor Mortis Demo NOWThe second part of the Demo is a brand new level that expands the game’s scope dramatically. The bridge to the Lighthouse has been destroyed and you’ll need to use your transmutation powers to traverse the broken cobblestones. Pulling from our previous Ghostrunner games, the protagonist’s connection to the nephtoglobin plague allows him to grapple, wall run and swing across wide expanses. There’s also a new blade weapon - the Rapier, a new firearm - the Musket, and a new Shield Transmutation. More enemies, more challenges, and more gameplay variety are what we wanted to show in this second level of the Demo.
changedLegendary French actor, Vincent Cassel, stars as NapoleonWe are also extremely excited to announce that legendary French actor, Vincent Cassel, is starring as the voice of Napoleon in Valor Mortis. From early on, he has been our dream casting for the voice of Napoleon. You may recognize him for his roles in Black Swan , Ocean’s Twelve , La Haine and even Victor Chevalier in Tekken 8 .

At the end of the Demo, there’s also a survey. We had over 10,000 responses at the Playtest which amounted to extremely useful feedback for the rest of our development. We’d love to hear what you think of our game so far!
Legendary French actor, Vincent Cassel, stars as Napoleon
We are also extremely excited to announce that legendary French actor, Vincent Cassel, is starring as the voice of Napoleon in Valor Mortis. From early on, he has been our dream casting for the voice of Napoleon. You may recognize him for his roles in Black Swan, Ocean’s Twelve, La Haine and even Victor Chevalier in Tekken 8.
While recording with him, we learned that he was an avid gamer in his youth, citing games like SSX Tricky and Kelly Slater Pro Surfer. We felt that he would be a great fit as our Napoleon and we were delighted to find out that he is also from the Corsica region on his mother’s side. He told us that his auntie would describe Napoleon as “a cousin of the family”. We hope you are as excited as we are to hear Vincent Cassel in the Demo and the rest of Valor Mortis.
Release date this fall
Finally, we will be launching Valor Mortis on September 24th. In the meantime, we hope you can enjoy the Demo and let us know what you think. We’ve been working across all fronts because we want to make the game the best it can be. Try the Demo, give us your feedback and we will get ready to launch this epic and unique adventure in the Fall.
