changedUsurper Reborn v0.61.4 -- Dynamic NPC Dialogue + Hungarian + 30 New Steam AchievementsNPCs in this city used to recite their lines. They are starting to talk to you. v0.61.4 is the next step of the dynamic-dialogue plan, the second wave of Hungarian translation, a Steam achievement coverage pass, and a stack of player-reported fixes.
changedNPCs that notice youPlayer-state cues . Walk into a chat below 30% HP and you will get a "you look terrible, are you alright?" line from a friendly NPC, or a mocking "should have thought about that before bleeding at me" from a hostile one. Walk in with 100,000+ gold and merchant-personality NPCs notice the purse.
changedNPCs that notice youPersonality aside . Greedy NPCs talk about coin. Trustworthy NPCs cut to the chase. Cautious NPCs lower their voice. Lines drawn from the most-deviated trait so quiet personalities stay quiet.
removedNPCs that notice youFaction tension . Faith-aligned and Shadows-aligned NPCs surface tension when speaking to the opposite faction, but suppress it entirely for romance partners (your spouse no longer opens with "don't tell your priests we spoke").
changedHungarian: end-to-endA separate localization fix: 10 daily-login-streak messages ("Two days in a row, keep it going!", "30 days, you are a Devoted Champion!", "Your N-day login streak has ended!", etc.) were hardcoded English. Now translated in all five supported languages.
changedSteam achievements: 79 of 79 live, 30 newly registered with custom artOne previously-uncreated trigger was wired up in code: the Magical Patron achievement (100,000 gold spent at the Magic Shop, Gold tier) was defined in the game but never actually fired. It does now. Plus a typo on the Steam side that was blocking the Bounty Hunter achievement for every player has been corrected.

Usurper Reborn v0.61.4 -- Dynamic NPC Dialogue + Hungarian + 30 New Steam Achievements

NPCs in this city used to recite their lines. They are starting to talk to you. v0.61.4 is the next step of the dynamic-dialogue plan, the second wave of Hungarian translation, a Steam achievement coverage pass, and a stack of player-reported fixes.

NPCs that notice you

Greetings, farewells, and chat replies now layer contextual flavor on top of the base templates based on what the NPC actually knows about you:

  • Mood prefix keyed to the NPC's dominant emotion (Joy, Anger, Sadness, Confidence, Greed, Gratitude, Hope, Peace, Fear, Pride, Envy, Loneliness). A grateful NPC opens warmly. A scowling one does not.

  • Memory beat if the NPC has a recent interaction with you. "I haven't forgotten what you did earlier today" reads differently than "you and I have unfinished business, after a while ago." The phrasing matches the emotional impact and avoids contradicting the mood.

  • Witness beat when the NPC actually saw you do something noteworthy. Murder somebody in front of them, the next conversation gets oblique ("I saw what you did, don't think no one noticed").

  • Player-state cues. Walk into a chat below 30% HP and you will get a "you look terrible, are you alright?" line from a friendly NPC, or a mocking "should have thought about that before bleeding at me" from a hostile one. Walk in with 100,000+ gold and merchant-personality NPCs notice the purse.

  • Grief. NPCs who recently witnessed a death and are still sad will trail off mid-conversation. Non-specific by design, no spouse-name leak.

  • Personality aside. Greedy NPCs talk about coin. Trustworthy NPCs cut to the chase. Cautious NPCs lower their voice. Lines drawn from the most-deviated trait so quiet personalities stay quiet.

  • Faction tension. Faith-aligned and Shadows-aligned NPCs surface tension when speaking to the opposite faction, but suppress it entirely for romance partners (your spouse no longer opens with "don't tell your priests we spoke").

A coherence pipeline ties these layers together: the mood layer classifies the tone, and downstream layers consult that tone so you do not get a beaming NPC bringing up unfinished business. A per-NPC recent-line cache prevents the same line firing twice in a row.

Hungarian: end-to-end

Hungarian players now see the complete dialogue system. 175 base dialogue template strings (greetings, farewells, flirts, compliments, chat topics, personal stories) plus all 114 contextual flavor pool lines are translated to Hungarian. The dynamic-dialogue layering works in Hungarian just as it does in English. Spanish, French, and Italian still see English for the dialogue layer for now; future passes will widen coverage.

A separate localization fix: 10 daily-login-streak messages ("Two days in a row, keep it going!", "30 days, you are a Devoted Champion!", "Your N-day login streak has ended!", etc.) were hardcoded English. Now translated in all five supported languages.

Steam achievements: 79 of 79 live, 30 newly registered with custom art

The game has 79 achievements. Until v0.61.4, only 49 of them were registered on the Steam side, which meant 30 in-game achievements would never unlock on Steam even when you earned them. That gap is closed.

All 30 missing achievements are now live on Steam with unique custom icon art per achievement, with tier-appropriate frames (rainbow Diamond, polished Platinum, ornate Gold, brushed Silver, weathered Bronze). Some sets read as visual progressions:

  • Gauntlet tier series (Arena Hopeful, Veteran, Master, Champion, Grand Champion) escalates from a young fighter with a simple sword up to a crowned gladiator standing over a shattered tyrant crown.

  • Login-streak series (Dedicated Adventurer, Devoted Champion, Legendary Devotion) goes from 7 small stars to 30 stars in a banner to 90 candles forming a circle.

  • World boss series (World Slayer, Boss Hunter, Legend Killer) reads as a solo victory pose, then 5 mounted trophy heads, then a mountain of skulls forming a throne.

  • Hidden achievements (Angel of Death, The Corruption Remembered, Shadow Caster) have spoiler-aware art revealed only post-unlock.

One previously-uncreated trigger was wired up in code: the Magical Patron achievement (100,000 gold spent at the Magic Shop, Gold tier) was defined in the game but never actually fired. It does now. Plus a typo on the Steam side that was blocking the Bounty Hunter achievement for every player has been corrected.

Any achievements you already earned in-game but had not been syncing to Steam will back-sync on your next login.

Player-reported fixes

  • Stuck player-echo recruitment. Players who recruited a teammate's echo at Team Corner but never saw it appear in their dungeon party could not re-recruit ("echo already in your party"). Fixed: failed echo loads now self-clean from the recruit list, the Team Corner echo menu shows currently-recruited echoes with a [recruited] tag, and a new un-recruit hotkey lets you manually dismiss an echo without entering the dungeon.

  • Dungeon feature gold-split shrank rewards. When examining a dungeon feature that gave gold ("you found 12,000 gold!"), only a fraction actually landed in your pocket -- the rest got distributed to companions and NPC teammates whose gold never returns to you. Fixed: feature gold now goes entirely to you when playing solo or splits only with grouped co-op players. Companions and NPC team members no longer eat the reward.

  • Class names not translated. On the character-select screen, Hungarian players were seeing "[1] druidah - 24. szintu Cleric" instead of "[1] druidah - 24. szintu Pap." Same problem on Inn screens, Team Corner, status displays, and dialogue narration. All class names across all ~15 display sites now use the session language.

  • NPC dialogue with broken placeholder text. When asked about the dungeons, some NPCs were replying with a literal garbled string instead of actual dialogue. The placeholder text had been in the localization file since the v0.60.0 Babel release without ever being filled in. Restored proper text plus Hungarian translation.

  • Bug-report cancel. You can now press Enter on a blank description line to cancel a bug report. The path was always there, just not documented. Hint now appears below the prompt in all five languages.
