Changelog

New

  • [UI] The round win screen now shows a % symbol when showing the typing accuracy stat.

  • [UI] Added a warning in the settings menu whenever the player selects Japanese or Simplified Chinese as the language for the word list.

  • [UI] Scene transitions now uses a circle pattern rather than just fading to black.

Changed

  • [Balance] Heuristic for modifier acquisition has been improved. This means that when being given new modifiers, it'll prioritize giving you only one modifier that add word effects to spawned words (e.g. Word Chaos, Word Slow, etc.)

  • [Balancing] Applied modifiers that are tagged [Active] to word clouds now have compatibility checks. This ensures modifiers that logically should be incompatible with each other are indeed incompatible.

  • [Balance] The story mode's modifier acquisition ratio changed from 3:1 to 2:1. This means that instead of getting 3 negative modifiers and 1 positive modifier. You're only getting 2 negative modifiers and one positive modifier whenever you choose a hard choice. The same goes for easy choices.

  • [Balance] Spawn interval now increases a little depending on how many additional words get spawned each wave.

  • [Balance] 'Sleep Limit' modifier has been adjusted to now only have a maximum effect of 50% instead of 100%. Minimum is still 10%.

  • [UI] Small interface adjustment for intermission aftermath interface. This is the interface (or UI screen) you see when you complete a round in Story Mode, and you're brought to a new scene with the monthly planner.

  • [UI] Modifiers now don't mention anything about their effects stacking, since this mechanic was removed in 1.0. The affected modifiers are: Haste modifier, Haste - Mass modifier, and Slow - Mass modifier.

  • [UI] Updated credits.

  • [UI] Updated the localization files.

Bugfix

  • Story Mode positive modifiers aren't being converted from negative modifiers. This caused late-game story mode runs to never generate a positive modifier, since the positive modifier pool was exhausted and negative modifiers weren't being converted as expected.

  • Word clouds never reset visually whenever the player makes a typo on one. This caused all the letters to already be highlighted once the typo feedback animation was done.

  • Modifiers now don't carry over to new games after loading a saved game and returning to the main menu.

  • Story mode save data is now deleted when completing runs. Your profile data is still saved regardless, and this fix just ensures you can't load a completed run.

  • Fixed SFX not playing when expected.

  • The settings menu now displays what language is currently set for the UI and Word List when launching the game.

  • Fixed activation trigger of Haste - Mass word modifier. This modifier now only activates if other words are typed, and will not when the word carrying this modifier was typed. As written in the modifier's description.

  • Fixed a choice already pre-selected during the screen where you're shown a dilemma.

  • Fixed modifiers, always choosing the highest values for its effects. Modifiers should now have a much more balanced effect distribution.
