Truckful changes
Hi everyone 👋
With the first demo now wrapped up, we wanted to thank everyone who played it and shared valuable feedback. We went through every single bit and wanted to address some of the most frequently mentioned ideas and needs. Some of the planned changes will only be available in the full game, however we're cooking many cool updates for the upcoming Next Fest - most importantly a completely refreshed demo with many new locations, characters and gameplay updates. Here we go!
Phonemes and audio issues during dialogues
Dialogues in the current demo were all work in progress and we plan many improvements that include sample behavior and sources to better suits characters.
Additional Dialogues Volume Slider will be added to the settings in the upcoming Next Fest demo.
Skipping Dialogues
We will add the option to skip or speed up dialogues in the upcoming Next Fest demo.
We plan to offer a choice between short dialogues that minimally advance the plot and slightly longer versions (still concise) for players who value narrative part more - this will be added in the full game.
Death and respawning
No more hard resets after dying in the upcoming Next Fest demo! During the event of a rollover, players will have to decide whether to load the last save point (shrine) or attempt to recover using physics and skills.
Dropped cargo will not end the game — players will always be able to return to collect it. However, not all cargo will be sufficiently durable; some items may be destroyed after a fall, making it impossible to complete the mission.
Accidents such as driving into an abyss, drowning, or being killed by a boss will result in game over.
Vehicle customization (Full game)
We have defined several upgradable truck parameters:
Engine
Steering system
Suspension
Body rigidity (affects weight)
Tires
Breaking system
Audio signals (horns)
Cargo space – various cargo volumes and dimensions
Body color/skins/ornaments
In addition, vehicle can be equipped with equipment that gives player special abilities, including standard nitro (booster), sticky cargo, a winch, and several other we have in the works.
Translation improvements

Dynamic Environment
In Truckful, missions are non-linear —there are multiple routes to the objective, and it is up to the Player to choose which one to take.
Players will have access to numerous shortcuts and hidden paths.
In most scenes, partial or full off-road driving will be possible; however, the game does not feature a fully open world design. The world of the Valley consists of various types of locations that require different navigation and planning skills. These include:
Towns
Dark forests
Landfills
Tunnels and caves
Pastoral highways
Devastated regions
Physics, Controls and Camera angles
We are aware of multiple issues regarding these, many of which have already been addressed:
The current level design better supports a side-view camera that better supports cargo control and will be much improved in the Next Fest demo/Full game.
We have increased forward visibility and adjusted the camera angle at higher speeds.
The selection of vehicle parts and parameters will affect handling, making player driving preferences a significant factor.
Steering: Relative vs Absolute controls
Since we released the demo, one of the oftenly repeated request was to add option to let players pick absolute and relative controls. We are working on several solutions for this matter and while its not 100% confirmed to be addressed for the upcoming Next Fest demo, the full release will hae this feature.
Checkpoints (Shrines) Adjustments
Some of the shrines in the demo were located in the not-so-helpful locations and for the Next Fest, we will adjust their placement to suit gameplay better.
Also for the Next Fest, there will be an autosave added after entering every bigger location.
