  • Balance
  • Gameplay
changedNew HeroesGunslinger - Fires super high speed shots at the furthest away enemy. The Gunslinger's stamina is always 6, and any extra stamina is instead converted to damage. He has lots of dodging and combo skills to create a really fun and mechanical hero.
changedNew HeroesRunemage - Places runes on the ground that detonate after a three second delay. The Runemage's detriment-- that their attack doesn't do anything immediately-- is also a strength. Her runes provide a stamina regeneration effect, meaning you'll be laying runes down and pulling in value for the whole party!
addedNew HeroesThe three heroes added in this update have unlock requirements that are also achievements, so if you have earned those achievements already, the heroes will automatically be unlocked when you start the game for the first time on the new update.
addedVault ScreenThe 'Coming Soon...' option on the main menu has been opened. It is the Vault, where you can see information on the enemies and bosses you've defeated during play. The stats have been tracked in your save file since v1, but there was no way to view them, so most (if not everything) that you've already done should be reflected in the new Vault screen.
changedVault ScreenRight now, there are enemy stats and boss stats. You can also view their HP values and weaknesses/resistances. In the future, I plan to fill out this section with more information as time goes on.
addedVictory TrophiesVictory Trophies are new and now visible on the party select screen. They appear under the name of the selected hero and are earned when you defeat the final bosses present in the game. They should have been tracked in your save file prior to this update, so if you've beaten the game with a given hero, it should show up already! I added this as a way to see which final bosses you've defeated, as well as add a little bit of a completionist factor if you're into that sort of thing.

v2 "FRONTIER HEROES" Change-log

New Heroes

  • Samurai - Uses their katana to instantly slice the first enemy in their path. The Samurai was designed to be a hero that can be pretty good at fighting on their own, but also provide a good amount of support skills that can help bolster the rest of the party.

  • Gunslinger - Fires super high speed shots at the furthest away enemy. The Gunslinger's stamina is always 6, and any extra stamina is instead converted to damage. He has lots of dodging and combo skills to create a really fun and mechanical hero.

  • Runemage - Places runes on the ground that detonate after a three second delay. The Runemage's detriment-- that their attack doesn't do anything immediately-- is also a strength. Her runes provide a stamina regeneration effect, meaning you'll be laying runes down and pulling in value for the whole party!

Victory Trophies are new and now visible on the party select screen. They appear under the name of the selected hero and are earned when you defeat the final bosses present in the game. Minor Changes and Fixes

  • Added a small boss HP meter on the right side of the screen that is visible when a boss is active on screen.

  • Adjusted the Knight's hitbox to match the rest of the cast. For some reason, he was using his own hitbox that was slightly larger. (oops)

  • Increased the Knight's base damage by +1, from 8 to 9. During development, I went back and forth, and I think 9 is just a little better.

  • Fixed it so that spikes, sconces, and fire can't spawn on top of the player when entering a new floor. Poison pools shouldn't spawn on the player either, but those were a bit harder to test.

  • Enemies that are poisoned have a 1/3 chance to be stunned for a frame, every frame. This effect has always been in the game. Bosses also have this debuff, and In this update I changed it to a 1/7 chance per frame. This hopefully makes bosses still feel the effects of poison, but not turn into a complete pushover.

I hope you enjoy Triple Swap Tower's first big update! I loved working on it and I hope you enjoy playing it. Feel free to reach out on the Steam forums or on the game's Discord if you have any feedback.
