Trials of Valor changes
We're happy to announce that we use Steam Cloud to store your progress now!
This means that anyone who wants to play the game on multiple machines can continue on the same progress as your other devices. Overall, you as a player, don't have to do anything special to make this work. If you only use a single device to play this game, this update won't affect you in any way. However, If you get another machine in the future, or reinstall your operating system, your progress will be synced to your new machine 👍
Multiple users on the same machine
In the most recent update (version 1.6), we made some small but important changes to the save system. Any sort of progress in the game is now stored 'per Steam user', meaning multiple people can share a PC and the progress is tracked 'per user'.
Small warning ⚠️
If you have already played on multiple devices, it's recommended to open the game on the device you want to keep the progress from first. Once you open / quit the game, the save file gets synced to the Steam Cloud and will be downloaded on any future machine you use (as long as Steam Cloud is enabled on that device).
Your device should have a backup of your progress from version 1.5.3 (as long as you played before that version). If you lost progress and want to access that file, you can: A: Write to us on Discord: https://discord.com/invite/mXfXtEBEER B: Create a post in the Steam forums and we'll try our best to help you.
How do I activate Steam Cloud for Steam?
Steam Cloud will be activated for all games that support it by default. If you turned it off or want to check if it's enabled, here's how: Activating Steam Cloud saves (global setting) 1: Click the "Steam" option to the top left in the Steam Client.
2: Click settings (or preferences)
3: There will be a Cloud section with related checkboxes to turn on / off Steam Cloud.
Activating / Deactivating Steam Cloud saves for a specific game 1: Right click the game in your Steam library.
2: Properties
3: The first tab that opens (general) will have a section where you can enable / disable Steam Cloud saves. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need support!
