Trials of Valor changes
Steam post imageHello everyone!
We've been working hard on some really cool updates. This update gives controller users some much needed quality of life changes. On top of that, every player gets to see some new cool charms to create new builds with.
General changes
20 new charms!
We added charms to support a wider array of playstyles. There's even two charms that automatically sells any items left behind on the reward screen! 🪙💰
Every new charm added is accessible to all classes and some of them can help support really powerful builds.
Gamepad improvements / UI
No more virtual controller mouse 🖱️🚫
We removed the virtual controller mouse entirely and improved every window to be fully functional with a gamepad.
Every menu, every action, can be reached using either navigation (Dpad arrows / joystick) or by holding a button (shown by a button-glyph).
Improved ability placement
The flow of selecting an ability reward is reworked. The redesigned menu lets you pick an ability and place it in a seperate window.
You can of course still go back and pick a new ability using the "Back"-button when placing an ability.
Improved item and charm selection windows
Notice how the refresh options also received shortcut-buttons, so they're more convenient to reach.
Improved ability setup menu / move abilities
We fixed issues with the "ability menu". Moving abilities using a controller will work much better now compared to before.
More shortcuts for actions
The reward screen you see after a fight, now has a dedicated button to select each possible action, such as opening the ability reward, charm reward or equipping any of the available items.
At any time outside of a fight, you can reach your potions by holding the right trigger. You can view your equipped items by holding the left trigger, and you can access the top left buttons and charms by pressing select.
Map Navigation
Map nodes can be reached by holding a button.
More UI Sound effects 🎺
Some extra sound polish was added when certain menues are opened or closed.
Improved ability tooltip
This new tooltip reduces the amount of raw text displayed on screen and displays them in a more neat way.
