Hello, fellow conductors and station managers!

First off, we want to thank you for your continued interest and patience with Train Station Project. It’s been a while since our last update, and we owe you an apology for the radio silence. Rest assured, we’ve been hard at work every single day to make this game the best it can be. If you’re eager for more frequent updates, don’t forget to join our Discord channel, where we regularly share sneak peeks and behind-the-scenes content from the game’s development.

Now, onto the news: we’re planning to launch the Steam Playtests in early 2025. We originally planned to release them sooner, but we decided to take some extra time to improve the game’s mechanics. Your experience is important to us, and we want to deliver a polished and engaging adventure right from the start.

Making Train Station Project More Interactive

We’ve been focusing on enhancing interactivity in the game, adding depth and variety to the world around your station. Here’s a sneak peek at what we’re working on:

  • Street Performers 🎸 will appear on the station, adding life and ambiance to the environment.

  • Railway Inspector Gameplay 🚦 is coming! In later stages, players will take on the responsibilities of a railway inspector.

  • Dynamic NPC Behaviors: The station won’t be free of challenges!

    • Rioters may stir up chaos and confront other NPCs.

    • Drug Dealers will discreetly attempt illegal activities.

    • Vandals could tag walls with graffiti.

    • Police NPCs are here to restore order and deal with mischief-makers.

And yes, the interactivity extends to you. Players can now approach and interact with (or even confront) any NPC. NPCs will also respond dynamically to your actions and tools. For the curious: yes, you can strike the train crew (though this is not the main goal of the game). But actions have consequences, so beware — the station’s police station is fully operational, and players can even find themselves behind bars! 🚔

Building System Improvements

We’re also refining the construction mechanics. To make object placement smoother, we’re introducing pivot-distance lines, allowing you to align and space objects with precision.

In conclusion, thank you for your support and patience.

Stay tuned, The Train Station Project Team 🚂
