Everything You Need to Know About Towerborne Full Game Launch Update
Towerborne launches February 26 as an epic side-scrolling Action RPG Brawler.
If you are new to the world of the Belfry (or returning for 1.0) here is what awaits you.
Rise as an Ace
In Towerborne, you rise again as an Ace — an immortal warrior reborn to defend the Belfry against the darkness beyond its walls.
Your journey begins in the City of Numbers as it falls. You fight to save its people before coming face to face with the event that forges you into a deathless guardian of humanity’s last refuge.
From there, the world opens.
You will guide refugees to safety, uncover the machinations behind the fall of Numbers, and push back the corruption threatening what remains of civilization.
A 15+ Hour Campaign Across a Changing World
Towerborne 1.0 delivers a 15+ hour story-driven campaign spanning more than 50 missions across the world of Eld.
Freely explore the world map to advance the campaign, aid refugees, and discover new allies. As you progress, your Danger Level increases, peeling back the fog of war, revealing new environments, and drawing you ever closer to the heart of the fallen City of Numbers.
Throughout the campaign, NPC companions join you on select missions, fighting alongside you and expanding the story of the world.
This is the most expansive and cohesive version of Towerborne yet.
Endlessly Versatile Combat
Combat in Towerborne is fast, fluid, and expressive; built around mobility, choice, and customization.
Engage in highly mobile battles with eight-way dodges and rolls, multiple combo paths, and distinct combo enders that offer different tactical utility.
Choose from four distinct classes, each with deep and expansive movesets. Select your class at character creation and change it freely between missions to refine your playstyle.
Version 1.0 introduces new and refined Class Mastery skills, along with Universal skills that unlock across all classes once earned.
Umbra companions bring 15 unique abilities that can shift the tide of battle, with new Aspects that modify how those abilities behave.
Player expression sits at the core of Towerborne’s combat, progression, and upgrade systems, letting you shape how you fight and grow.
Deep Gear and Real Build Variety
Build experimentation is central to Towerborne 1.0.
Across the world of Eld you can discover:
A wide variety of themed gear sets with bonuses that activate when multiple pieces are equipped
Weapons that contribute toward gear set bonuses
Up to 75 unique legendary weapons and gear
Boss weapons with new and unique perks
You can freely equip multiple gear sets, stack legendary items, and experiment without restriction.
Further customize your Helm, Chest, and Weapon items with Aspects that grant new perks and stats and then perfect your loadout through upgrading, reforging, refining, and fusing gear to suit your build.
Play Your Way
Towerborne supports flexible difficulty and progression.
Missions can be played on Easy, Medium, Hard, or Brutal difficulty. Brutal unlocks after completing the campaign and is designed for players seeking a serious challenge.
On higher difficulties, Elite enemies may become Vanguards, dangerous leaders who empower nearby foes until you take them down. Defeating them can turn the tide in your favor.
Level Sync makes it easy to jump into missions with friends at different stages of progression. Your stats scale appropriately so encounters remain engaging while rewards match your actual class level.
Four save slots allow you to preserve progress or begin fresh runs, including challenging Brutal from the very beginning once unlocked.
