Combat Changes

After reading your feedback we changed the feel of the combat and parry system. We wanted it to be more rewarding when you parry but also still keep the original feel of the combat.

  1. We added a parry reward system, allow you to re-parry thus adding more engaging combat battles between enemies and bosses

  2. Visual feedback on successful parries

  3. More fluid animation and jump feel, making Torii feel far more responsive than the first demo

  4. Dharma System: we are starting to show a little sneak peek to our unique system with Dharma and combinations

  5. Chakra Orb Systemwe added the Chakra system to enhance your play through and enhance combat prowess

  6. Additional combination moves: Torii can now combo additional moves from the base move, allow a more risk-reward system

Bestiary

We have added a Bestiary for you to record your encounters, learn more about the inhabitants of Torii and find the hidden creatures that roam the spirit realm. Record your adventures and read the new Lore we have added! (You need to find the hunter to get the Bestiary!)

World Map

As you explore you can find the Cartographer who can provide you with a map to record your explorations. Find the unique and hidden paths in the spirit realm of Torii. It is a giant world for you to explore, can you complete the map?

New Temples and Sancturies to explore!

With the new Gate comes new Sancturies and temples. The last place you left off was meeting Bishamon.... we don't want to spoil too much but there's new temples, puzzles, sancturies and a bunch of hidden areas for you to find!

New Bosses

With new a Gate comes more difficult encounters. There's 3 times as many bosses as our last demo.... are you ready?

Quests

Special quests can be picked up to find unique items in the world as well as optional gems. You can find certain quests by meeting certain conditions in the world of Torii.

Graphical Improvements / Interface

We can't list it all here but somethings have been added and improved such as:

  1. Torii's character control and feel. Animations shoulld feel much more fluid

  2. Options are added to the menu to allow you to show damage numbers as well as health bars on nearby enemies

  3. Overall buttons and controls are more clearer for players using controllers, Steam Deck as well as the keyboard

  4. Quest System interface is added properly

  5. More clearer communication on when items are recieved and when new options are available

There is alot more but we don't want to spoil it! The demo is free and avaialble for PC and Mac. Please check it out! If you want to give us feedback to help improve there's many ways!
