Tome of Talis: A Dice Conquest Game changes
Welcome commanders! This huge update is even bigger than these patch notes; so many structural, balance, and QOL changes happened that it was hard to keep track! That being said, I can give a few highlights from this patch:
Highlights
Enemy bosses are now much more difficult, as they have relics of their own!
All dice now have more variety to help you distinguish who is who on the battlefield.
Almost every die has received a balance pass to ensure each die has a moment to shine!
There is now new commander art for the bosses!
A brand new intro that explains the lore!
Hundreds of bugfixes, QOL, and other changes suggested by players!
Balance Changes
All enemy bosses now have special relics that give them extra strength!
Giant no longer has any blank sides.
Man Thresher now starts a little weaker, but gets strong much faster
Lord of Madness's Sewn Mages now gains many buffs during the fight
Oozing Wall now heals all its dice every turn
Death's Duelist now grows impatient and strikes the commander every three turns.
The Three Guardians now grow stronger when their allies fall.
The clocktower now damages all dice every turn with its ringing bells
Fixes
Fixed a bug related to save games
Fixed a bug causing spell shortcuts to be incorrect
Fixed a bug allowing you to cast spells before the battle starts
Fixed a bug causing multi strike to not work with rally properly
Fixed a bug causing issues with defenses and bosses
Fixed a bug causing befuddle and madness to convert units to opposite sides.
Fixed a visual bug in Replays that incorrectly displayed enraged units damage amounts.
Fixed a visual bug in Replays that incorrectly displayed Rallied units damage amounts.
Fixed a bug where trails appear visually on top of dice when swapping
Fixed a bug where fireballs appeared backwards.
Improved Rally sound effects
Fixed a bug causing the Giant to not melee attack like he should.
Fixed a bug where thorns worked inconsistently on big bosses.
Fixed a bug where special entrances were being used in replays.
Fixed a bug where special textures weren't being saved in replays
You can no longer drag looted dice around
Fixed a bug where taking all loot didn't progress to the next page
Fixed the boss tutorial being positioned poorly
Dialogue now hangs around a bit longer so players can read it.
Adjusted battle arenas to avoid debuffs being hidden
Fixed a bug where dice looked wrong in replays
Catapults are no longer invisible and the sneaky siege meta is dead.
You can no longer steal the enemies special abilities with the replay button
Tutorial popup is now always on top
You are now less likely to see the same fight twice. It can still happen though.
fixed several bugs relating to continuing a game
Dice highlights and lowlights are now standardized, improving visuals.
Dice now look correct in the upgrade menu
Dialogues with someone talking now include their name
Fixed a bug where replays weren't playing
Fixed a bug where selecting a unit upgrade kept visuals around.
Tweaked the positioning of the keybind helpers
Moved skip loot button to be less easy to accidentally press
There is now a one second delay when attacks finish before the next round starts.
Small nerf to Cult of Death
The torch no longer plays sound while you have ambience turned off.
Added a master volume setting
Fully redone art for all friendly units
Several units not properly tagged have been now correctly tagged
Many, many more fixes
MISC
Rare dice now sparkle when looting
Collecting Rare dice now plays an extra sound effect
