v0.5.2 Update

Hello, I'm the developer of Three Kingdoms: Alias.

This update improves new game setup, finance and troop management, domestic administration and personnel controls, while also refining battles and late-campaign stability.

New Game and Early Campaign

  • After choosing a ruler, you can now select your starting city directly. Recommended cities and region-based lists are available, while Luoyang is marked as the Imperial Court's seat and cannot be selected as a starting city. The game mode selection screen has also been refreshed.

  • The Institutions menu now unlocks by appointing a Chancellor, Personnel Minister, and Intel Minister instead of by owning two cities. This allows you to research Institutions earlier. Unlock requirements for some individual Institutions have also been adjusted.

  • The Post Assignment feature now unlocks at two cities instead of three. The related guide task order has also been updated.

Finance and Troop Management

  • The Monthly Finance Report has been reworked into a management screen focused on Gold and Food. You can review current stockpiles, monthly income, expenses, net change, and how many months your resources will last in detail. A new expense management panel has also been added. Related guidance has been added, and the report can be opened from the Finance Report entry in the Overview menu.

  • A new Recruitment Report lets you manage troop composition, Recruitment Officers, and recruitment policies for all of your cities in one table. It can also be opened from the Overview menu.

  • The Capital's monthly Gold production bonus has increased from 300 to 500.

  • Base Food production has increased from 60 to 70 per 10,000 population, easing early Food management.

Domestic Administration and Personnel

  • You can now batch-select Commerce, Agriculture, Order, and Recruitment positions when issuing a Domestic Boost.

  • The former leave-faction action has been renamed Dismiss. A new Dismiss Position action lets you remove an officer from a specific position while keeping them in your faction.

AI and Battles

  • To prevent officers from leaving or being persuaded away immediately after battle because their Loyalty fell while their unit was away, resignation and Persuasion cannot occur on the turn they return from battle or movement. Officers who participate in battle also gain Loyalty for victory, city captures, and MVPs.

  • AI factions now make more assertive military decisions. Rulers with aggressive personalities prioritize enlistment and act more aggressively.

  • AI factions now use more varied troop type compositions when attacking cities.

  • Fixed an issue where attacking units could stop in front of an opened gate during siege battles.

  • Small field battles and siege battles now begin with a closer camera view, making the opening situation easier to read.

  • The troop type guide in Sortie Formation has been made more intuitive.

Information and UI

  • City and officer names in finance and military reports now open their respective information popups directly.

  • Officer Encyclopedia entries, duplicate-name distinctions, and favored-officer relationships have been corrected and expanded.

  • The default text scale for languages other than Korean, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese is now Small.

  • Several screens have been improved so tables and popups do not clip in long-text languages such as English, German, French, and Russian.

Other Improvements

  • Fixed an issue where volume could become too low after reloading settings.

  • Autosaves now appear at the top of the Load list.

  • Manual saves can now be deleted.

  • The ending chronicle now records the correct event date and the ruler name at the time of the event.

  • Turn progression stability has been improved for late campaigns with more cities and officers.

We will continue improving the game based on your feedback. Thank you.
