Have you ever wondered:

If I were Liu Bei, could I have recognized Zhuge Liang's genius and made those three visits to recruit him?

That single question is where Three Kingdoms: Alias began.

If I were a warlord in the Three Kingdoms era, could I have picked out the truly capable and entrusted power to the truly loyal?

As Three Kingdoms fans, we all know Lü Bu was the greatest warrior of the age — and that he betrayed everyone he served. But Ding Yuan and Dong Zhuo didn't know that, and they paid the price.

What if Lü Bu hid his name? What if his combat rating wasn't a clean 100, so you couldn't identify him by stats alone? How would you deal with an unnamed officer who boasts top-tier fighting ability? Say an unknown officer's stats read Leadership 90, Combat 97 — could you really afford not to employ him?

The Eye for Talent

The eye for talent — the ability to pick the right people from a sea of unknowns. I decided to make a game about exactly that. A ruthless, hardcore Three Kingdoms where one bad appointment can bring your kingdom crashing down through betrayal and treachery.

Deep knowledge of the Three Kingdoms, and careful, meticulous selection of personnel — that is the only way to survive in this unforgiving world.

Three Kingdoms: Alias is still very much in development. It's being made by a single game designer with the help of AI, so there are plenty of rough edges. But I plan to actively incorporate feedback from fans who know far more about the Three Kingdoms than I do, and shape the game together.

I'm aiming to release a demo around mid-April. I intend to gather feedback from the demo and use it to improve the game.

Thank you for your interest.
