Thief VR: Legacy of Shadow changes
Thank you again to everyone who has continued to share feedback since launch. Your input has been instrumental, and today we’re rolling out Patch 2.0 for Thief VR: Legacy of Shadow on Steam.
This update builds on the foundations laid in Patch 1.0, bringing further visual improvements, new interactive elements, additional voice-over work, and continued stability and controller support fixes across platforms.
New interactive elements:
Interactive chalkboards: Take a moment to rest, draw, or leave your mark around the City.
Dartboards: Optional downtime activities to practice your aim while on heists.
Visual improvements:
Quest 2: Visual improvements for a smoother gameplay experience.
- Quest 3New Quarter mission visual improvements for a smoother gameplay experience.
Improved lighting: Further adjustments to address key issues with darkness throughout the game.
World & character updates:
Jenivere (the Magpie) can now be petted.
New interactions: Magpie will now talk with Jenivere when receiving coins.
- Additional voice-overNew VO added for when each Lost Relic is found and collected.
Bug fixes & stability:
- Save systemStability has been improved.
HTC Vive calibration: Users are no longer blocked at the calibration screen.
- Controller supportImproved implementation for HTC Vive and Valve Index controllers (please note the FYI the Vive in-game controller guide won't yet reflect the right mapping, this will be fixed in a future patch).
Rewards: All rewards can now be correctly awarded to the player.
- GraphicsMultiple minor issues resolved, including popping assets and z-fighting textures.
- Ravencourt ManorFixed an issue where the generator key could duplicate when reloading a checkpoint.
- New QuarterFixed the banner now burning correctly to reveal the path to the chest.
- Arrow handlingForce-grabbing arrows has been improved.
- Level progressionFixed various invisible gates, which are now visible.
- Glyph VisionFixed certain characters showing incorrect textures during cinematics.
Save loading: The “Continue” button now loads the most recently played save slot.
Vive controls overview:
Calibration - Right trackpad press
Tutorial confirmation - Either trackpad press
Locomotion - Left track pad movement without pressing
Sprinting - Left track pad up and press
Snap turn - Right track pad right/left and press
Inventory - Right track pad up and press
Switch arrows - While holding the bow left trackpad left/right and press
Crouch - Right track pad down and press
Grab - Grip button
Pause - Menu button
