addedThis round of feedback prompted us to take a fresh look at the game's pacing. We've substantially expanded the narrative density of the opening studio murder. Rather than simply adding more content, we've ensured that every detail now serves a dual purpose, functioning both as physical evidence at the scene and as a reflection of various characters.
changedWhat We Changed
changedRather than choosing the simple solution of either adding more hints or removing them, we've rebuilt the “Relationship Assistance System” in the Investigation Handbook. The logical relationships between clues will now be communicated through subtle visual hierarchies. The system will never tell you what to do. Rather, it will help you see where you might look next.

Narrative Pacing: "Too Slow" vs. "Too Sudden"

Following the demo's release, one of the most common areas of feedback concerned narrative pacing. Some players felt that the opening chapters spent too long on setup before reaching the core content of the game's astrological storytelling. Others, after finishing Chapter 3, felt that certain revelations arrived too abruptly, without enough of the careful buildup that makes deduction satisfying.

What We Changed

This round of feedback prompted us to take a fresh look at the game's pacing. We've substantially expanded the narrative density of the opening studio murder. Rather than simply adding more content, we've ensured that every detail now serves a dual purpose, functioning both as physical evidence at the scene and as a reflection of various characters.

Meanwhile, we've significantly expanded the core content of Chapters 4 and 5. With this stronger foundation and greater narrative depth, we hope to ensure that the truth feels both startling and fully earned when it is finally revealed. Our aim is to surprise players in the moment while also rewarding careful reflection afterward.

Logical Guidance: "Too Obscure" vs. "Too Obvious"

This may be the greatest design dilemma we've faced. Player feedback confirmed how real this tension is; some players felt that certain connections between clues required additional guidance, otherwise it was easy to become lost among the growing collection of evidence. Others felt exactly the opposite. They believed the existing guidance was already sufficient and worried that more explicit direction would undermine the joy of a sudden eureka.

What We Changed

Rather than choosing the simple solution of either adding more hints or removing them, we've rebuilt the “Relationship Assistance System” in the Investigation Handbook. The logical relationships between clues will now be communicated through subtle visual hierarchies. The system will never tell you what to do. Rather, it will help you see where you might look next.

This approach follows the same "Iceberg Theory" that guides our character writing. Most of the substance remains beneath the surface, but the markers above the water are enough to guide your gaze.

The Dynamic Truth System: Random, or Controlled?

The "God's Dice" system is the feature we're most proud of, and also one of the most hotly debated. Some players loved the genuinely unpredictable experience created by allowing crucial clues to emerge through the whims of fate. Others worried that if luck determines access to key clues, the sense of accomplishment that comes from deduction might be diminished.

What We Changed

We have not weakened the core philosophy behind “God's Dice.” On the contrary, we've further refined and expanded the system. By introducing richer branching logic, we’ve ensured that every route can support a coherent and meaningful narrative arc.

In other words, God's Dice does not grant you a "better" truth or a "worse" truth. It grants you the truth of a different timeline. That idea lies at the heart of the vision we’ve steadfastly held from the beginning: Truth is never singular.

Over the past four months, we've gone from being solitary watchers to becoming fellow travelers alongside all of you. Our job is to weave a web intricate enough, resilient enough, and compelling enough to hold together; your role is to become the wind that gives that web its soul. That web is growing stronger every day.

And now, more than ever, we believe that the arrival of the full release will be the moment we've all been waiting for, the moment when the pieces finally come together.

We look forward to meeting you again, deeper within the star chart.
