More than four months have passed since February's Steam Next Fest, the first time The Zodiac Mystery officially met players. Now, as we pause briefly from the intensity of development and look back on that journey, all of our thoughts can be summed up in a single sentiment:

Thank you, to every one of our players. It is because of you that this story has become whole.

In On the Eve of Departure, we wrote, “We are eager to listen, ready to hear every observation, every reaction, and every surge of insight that accompanies your first playthrough.” What you gave us far exceeded our expectations.

We heard encouraging words from newcomers to the mystery genre:

"The difficulty ramps up gradually, but it never feels discouraging."

"When you get stuck, there are subtle hints that keep you from being trapped in one place forever."

"Playing alone, I found myself slowly piecing together the details of the story, and I felt a real thrill whenever everything suddenly clicked into place!”

To us, those brief comments carried tremendous weight.

What moved us even more was the honesty of the feedback we received. Some players were immersed by moments where "the presentation made it easy to step into the story." Others appreciated "the gradual progression from a simple case to an increasingly complex mystery.” At the same time, some players candidly pointed out that "certain character traits make it too easy to jump to conclusions about the story's direction and outcome before following the clues."

Whether enthusiastic, measured, or sharply critical, these voices became an undeniably reliable point of reference over the past four months. We are no longer solitary watchers standing guard over this story; we are fellow travelers walking alongside you. Every voice has become an indispensable piece of The Zodiac Mystery's narrative puzzle.
