addedChristmas and New Year's Eve are just around the corner, so it's time for another development update for The Unbeatable Path . Before we start with the updates, I would like to use this special time of the year to thank all the supporters and interests of this project. We have had a tumultuous year with many ups, but also some downs. Without your support and interest in this project, we would not have been able to overcome these hurdles, so once again to all of you a big thanks for your support. We are very happy about how this project has developed and are proud to tell you that our processes and workflows have been established in such a way that we will be able to gradually implement the content that is still planned next year without any major problems. In this spirit, we at RecklessGames wish you, your families, and friends a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year! Now to the actual development update.

This level is used by us to maintain cross-level game mechanics, but also to present a persistent environment in the background for all levels. This environment has been completely overhauled and now corresponds to our quality level.

Game progress

  • Level "The Room" implemented: This level is the third level in the game and is a bit smaller compared to the other levels, but also trickier. The level was completely finalized and QA tested this month.

  • Another cutscene created: To further reveal Mia's story, we created another cutscene and implemented it in the level "The Room". In addition to the required assets, we also conducted a motion capturing session to record the characters' animations.

  • Improved environment of all maps: All playable levels are subordinated to one main level, the so-called Persistent Level. This level is used by us to maintain cross-level game mechanics, but also to present a persistent environment in the background for all levels. This environment has been completely overhauled and now corresponds to our quality level.

  • 3D models created: In the game, placeholders for various 3D models were still used for the first levels, these have now been replaced with the final 3D models.

  • Development of the level "Hallways" startedWe started working on the new map called "Hallways" (working title) this week, for which we will probably need the whole of January to finalize it.
