The Unbeatable Path changes
time flies by and January is almost over, time for a development update of The Unbeatable Path. In this month we finalized the gameplay mechanics, 3d models, and the level design for the main riddle of our latest map called "Lost Hallways" (working title). This map is almost done and will also contain an additional puzzle that is less complex than the main one. The smaller puzzle will be finalized at the beginning of February and we will start working on the next map after that.
Game progress
- Improvement of the persistent levelall environmental foliage assets have been replaced with better ones. The layout of the whole persistent level has been adjusted and more "hellish" content has been added to it.
- Added Level transitiona new area including a small cutscene has been added that is used as a transition from map "The Room" to the new map "Lost Hallways".
- Implemented level "Lost Hallways"the whole level has been added together with new gameplay mechanics for the main riddle. We also created new 3d models for this map and finalized the level design to about 70%. We are just missing a new story cutscene and another smaller riddle that also takes place on this map.
Gameplay test for the main riddle: we already tested the main riddle with a group of testers to make sure everything works fine and to adjust and improve the difficulty. This step has already been successfully completed this month, so now we can move on to the next puzzle.
