changedPlaytestWe're also zero-ing in on some technical issues a few players had but luckily nothing game breaking. The game is built on a custom engine so this playtest is incredibly useful for finding weird porting issues and deal with rendering discrepancies between different machines.
changedPlaytestThe control scheme has also been a bit of a soar point for a few players. When you make a game, you become blind to the weird idiosyncracies of you user interface. But worry not! we will fix all of these issues in the coming version and we will continue to iterate until (almost) everyone is happy:
changedPlaytestWe will prevent accidentally deleting buildings behind the one you actually wanted to destroy

Playtest

The playtest has started and your feedback has begun to stream in. We're glad to see that the reception of the game is broadly positive! A big recurring request is more content so more content you shall get.

We're also zero-ing in on some technical issues a few players had but luckily nothing game breaking. The game is built on a custom engine so this playtest is incredibly useful for finding weird porting issues and deal with rendering discrepancies between different machines.

  • We will flip the direction of the zoom when scrolling

  • We will fix the road placing

  • We will prevent accidentally deleting buildings behind the one you actually wanted to destroy

  • ... And much more!

UI

Creative mode

We have also added a creative mode for players who just want to configure the best looking city.

We always saw the game more as a strategy game than a game centered around esthetics but hopefully in time we can add enough building variety to make the game playable as a visual editor of sorts. Adding this mode is the first step in this direction.

What's next?
