A New Endgame Challenge

Do you have what it takes to conquer the Gauntlet?

A new Gauntlet has been added: The largest and most demanding area in the game.

  • The biggest challenge area so far

  • Designed to test mastery of movement and mechanics

  • Built around consistency, precision, and flow

  • New achievements for discovering and completing it

If you've been looking for something to truly push your limits, this is it.

Those who have already proven their mastery in the trials may want to take another look around town…

A New NPC in Town

Steam post imageA new character has quietly arrived in town… though not everyone will find them easily.

This NPC introduces a new mechanic and may be especially interesting for completionists and secret hunters. If you’re one of them, it might be worth taking another look around after finishing the main story.

Localization Update

Steam post imageThe Pale Piper now supports its first additional languages:

  • 汉语 (Simplified Chinese)

  • Português (Portuguese)

  • Deutsch (German)

These localizations were created with the help of a professional game localization service to ensure high quality and consistency.

That said, if you are a native speaker and notice anything that feels off or could be improved, please feel free to let me know. Feedback like this helps make the translations even better.

If there are additional languages you would like to see supported, feel free to mention them.

Updated Developer Page

Steam recently overhauled developer homepages, and I took this opportunity to update and reorganize mine.

If you'd like to stay up to date with what I'm working on, I’d really appreciate a follow.

Fixes & Improvements

A few fixes and adjustments are included as well:

  • Adjusted timing and hitboxes for the Shield Enemy

  • Updated dialog boxes to better accommodate different languages

  • Fixed a crash that could occur when exiting the game during a cutscene

  • Adjusted secret tile sound effects to prevent occasional audio distortion

  • Fixed an issue where ambient sound could continue playing after returning to the main menu

There were quite a few changes in this update, so if you encounter any issues or notice something behaving incorrectly, please report it via the Community Hub or Discord.

And if you’re enjoying the update, leaving a Steam review helps the game more than you might think. Thank you to everyone who has already taken the time to do so.
