The Pale Piper changes
This patch focuses on tightening mechanics, improving consistency, and cleaning up a number of issues.
Fixes
Fixed a bug that left behind an invincible hitbox after an NPC disappeared
Fixed a bug in a later boss fight where certain mechanics did not properly reset after dying
Fixed an issue affecting players from an earlier version where some NPC states did not update correctly, even after patching
Fixed occasional strange archer behavior when jumping directly onto them from above
Fixed a visual issue where, after resetting in challenge areas, the starting room decorations took a few frames to reload
Adjusted several spike placements in the Rat’s Keep that caused unnecessary deaths unrelated to intended challenges
Further adjusted input buffering to improve consistency
Slightly increased coyote time
Added a missing checkpoint in the Rat’s Keep
Made the secret wall leading to the optional progress-tracking NPC slightly easier to find
Made the entrance to another hidden NPC slightly easier to find
Made a secret backtracking route slightly easier to discover
Quality of Life
Thanks to a community suggestion, you can now cycle through already visited areas in the progress tracking screen once it is unlocked. Previously, it only displayed the current area. Now you can check the progress of any visited area at any time.
