THE LIFT: Supernatural Handyman Simulator changes
We're very proud to report that we've reached 100.000 wishlists on Steam since our global announcement earlier this week! Thank you so much for the overwhelmingly positive response to The Lift.
Initially, we wanted to conclude the playtest about a week after the announcement, but due to great demand (that blew our expectations out of the water by the way), we've decided to extend it until September 30th.
The playtest is going really well, with the majority of players completing the entire build and giving us positive scores. It will take us a couple of weeks to gather all survey responses and data, analyze them, and come back to you with a dev update outlining our next steps based on what we find. It’s impossible to describe how valuable your feedback is to us, so please fill out the survey if you haven’t yet:

Here’s what people are saying about our weird game so far:
SkillUp / This Week In Videogames:
‘The Lift feels like a blend of genres and influences that feels refreshingly unique – I can’t say I’ve ever seen this tactility, this setting, this gameplay style and level design combined and mixed in quite this way. It feels inspired in every sense of the word. The brief, three-hour slice I played already has me excited to see what else is in store for the full release.’
‘As a retrofuturistic handyman sim, The Lift might become one of my favorite games [...] It’s now my most-anticipated game of 2026.’
‘Job sims today encompass so many different professions, from train operator to farmer to power washer and beyond. Sometimes I enjoy those kinds of games, but I expect The Lift to be my favorite of them going forward, because it takes the job sim genre and makes it spooky and weird.’
‘The Lift may still be on the workbench, but I’m happy to say that it’s looking ready and wired up for a great time.’
