Hi! A brief update:

Done:

  • Main Menu UI update. It’s now prettier.

  • Added new room “Quest” markers, so you can easily see where new areas are.

  • General improvements to UI readability and bug fixes.

  • Start / End Night transitions added. Should improve the "feel" of the daytime changes.

  • Added creepy borders when the Lighthouse is Off. To indicate that perhaps you need to restart the Engine.

What that Means:

  • The UI should now be clearer and easier to understand.

  • The game UI is now almost working on most main screen aspect ratios (except 32:9).

  • Players should better feel the pacing of the game cycle and transitioning between daytime states.

What's Next:

  • Introduce new in-game music variations to highlight narratively important days.

  • Improve the loading screen sequencing to make the experience feel smoother.

  • Add Controls Settings. So you don't have to fight sticky buttons when using Shift to dash.

  • Set up localization groundwork now, so I don’t shoot myself later.

  • Develop story day 6 - 10 and design a new production room ("Rations").
