addedGreat news! The Beta for The Expanse: Osiris Reborn is now available. It includes the second mission in the game and absolutely, 100% contains spoilers. Good news, though: it’s an early mission, so it won’t spoil much.
changedHere’s what you can find in the Beta :
changed4 main character presets (character creator is currently not included in the Beta)
changedThe Beta will take 1-2 hours depending on how much time you spend talking to various characters and exploring the area. After finishing, we ask that you fill out a small survey form. It will help us to understand what you liked and didn’t like, that way we can improve the game based on your feedback. So we ask from the bottom of our hearts, please, do not skip the survey.
changedMeanwhile, Leonid Rastorguev, the Game Design Director on The Expanse: Osiris Reborn, and Grigory Ponomarev, lead game designer, prepared a video explaining the mechanics of the Beta. Watch the Beta Overview dev diary right now:
changedTo access the Beta, you need to be a Founder and own either Miller’s Pack or the Collector’s Edition . Then, please log in to your account on the official site , go to your profile, and head to the Digital Downloads tab. There, you will see an option to choose a platform for Beta access. Click on the “Choose the platform” button and select Steam. Then copy the code, activate it on Steam, download the Beta, and start playing!

Good news, though

it’s an early mission, so it won’t spoil much.

Here’s what you can find in the Beta:

  • One full mission

  • 4 main character presets (character creator is currently not included in the Beta)

  • One companion, your twin J, who will help you in combat

  • 8 firearms to test out

  • 9 abilities (you will need to find and equip the corresponding gadgets to be able to use them)

  • Zafar, who will later join your crew

  • A lot of enemies who are “not mad,” but just really disappointed in you

  • A consequential choice, but remember, the universe will not tell you whether you did right or wrong
