This technocrat faction is loyal to the Agreement with the UCE. Boomboys send most of the chemicals and explosives up the space bridges. Most of their new "recruits" are engineers, artillery experts, sappers, scientists, chemists — all sorts of war criminals and/or frauds, traitors who made a deal with the tribunal to escape execution. They are cautious around strangers and aren’t known for having a friendly attitude.

Now some entries on their hierarchy:

• Techpresidents — twin brothers, who held the manufacturing presidium office before the war. They survived the blast in their bunker with the help of cryostasis.

• Obercurators — serve as mayors and overseers for settlements, but unlike simple curators can command troops.

• Techkillers — top-ranking States of Progress military officials. They wield heavily modified weapons and upgraded armor.

• Curators — traders and merchants managing mines, small settlements or factory departments. Former engineers, scientists, foremen.

• Boomboys — The best of them have several Boombangs to command.

• Boombangs — Unhinged. Extremely volatile.
