Hi, Szanny here with update v0.59!

This update is all about making the maps feel more alive and the late-game more challenging. We are introducing obstacles to the environment, a dangerous new enemy type, and important AI improvements.

The Environment: Trees and Blockades

Running indefinitely across a flat field can get a bit repetitive. To fix this, I’ve started adding obstacles to the map tiles.

  • Nature Reclaims the Field: You will now find trees spawning on the map that act as blockades.

  • Future Plans: I am currently working on adding building ruins to make the City map feel like a real, war-torn urban environment rather than just an open field.

New Enemy: The Prime Carrier Drone

Exclusive to the later stages of Hard Mode, the Prime Carrier is a melee threat with a nasty special ability.

  • The Landing Mechanic: If you don't destroy the drone while it is attempting to land, it will deploy 3 random melee units.

  • Elite Reinforcements: These units aren't your typical enemies, they have 3x more HP and are significantly faster than their standard counterparts. Kill the drone early, or face the consequences!

AI & World Improvements

  • Obstacle Detection: Enemies have been upgraded! They can now detect trees and ruins, meaning they will navigate around them rather than getting stuck.

  • Map 2 Teaser: Internal preparations for the second map,"The Casino,"are officially underway. Expect a very different vibe for this level!

Balance Changes

While this is the first level of the game, the late-game was becoming a bit too easy due to the powerful upgrades available to the player.

  • HP Scaling: I’ve made enemy health scaling more aggressive as the timer goes on.

  • Elite Buffs: Certain enemy types will now start with higher base HP to ensure they remain a threat throughout your run.

Thank you for the continued support and feedback!
