Taxi Chaos 2 changes
Update 1.0.3 is here! Thanks again for all the feedback and reports, it continues to help us focus on what matters most.
This patch focuses on audio, with a reworked soundscape to better match the chaotic energy of Taxi Chaos 2. It also adds expanded PC display and graphics settings, alongside quality of life improvements and bug fixes.
1.0.3 Patch Notes
Audio Overhaul
The goal for this patch was to create a more coherent, chaotic, intense and complete soundscape
Re-master and remix of all character voices (including pedestrians)
Full remix of the entire soundscape
Updated vehicle engine SFX to be less noisy
All cars have now one gear less to avoid too frequent gear switching
Fixed pedestrians not playing sounds
Fixed vehicle surface types SFX not playing (driving over dirt, grass, sand, etc.)
Fixed vehicle gear and speed SFX not playing correctly
Fixed destructibles impact SFX not being audible
Added new impact SFX for (including configuration)
Fences
Balls
Sand
Bushes
Cardboard
Small rocks and boulders
Re-mastered object impact SFX
Re-mastered vehicle impact SFX
Re-mastered UI SFX
Added new hold button SFX
Updated game music to a faster, punk rock style
Added additional music tracks for active gameplay
Increased the overall character voice density
Updated music ducking while in cutscenes and radio messages to be less flow breaking and distracting
Fixed settings menu SFX
QoL Improvements & Bug Fixes
Added additional options to the settings menu
Button to automatically set graphics options based on pc performance

The suspension on heavy cars have been adjusted to be less bouncy and more drivable
Resolved issue where audio settings could reset between game sessions
Resolved softlock that could occur after partially completing the landslide event and then losing the customer.
Resolved issue where TaxiBots could spawn outside of the worldmap
Resolved issue where dashboard accessories on the Foxstang could clip through the front windshield
Resolved issue where the pause menu could not be invoked during the FTUE mission
Fixed vehicle select menus starting with first vehicle in the list selected rather than the currently active one
Escape key can now correctly close pause menu
