Tawa : Lost in Time changes
This update focuses mainly on stability, performance, and core system reliability following early player feedback.
Fixed an issue causing scene duplication at startup, which could lead to severe FPS drops, especially on first launch.
Improved level loading behavior: the loading screen now remains visible until all scenes are fully loaded.
Graphics settings are now forced to High quality and full resolution at startup to prevent unstable configurations.
Audio settings have been reorganized and corrected for more consistent in-game behavior.
The respawn and “Reset Position” system has been stabilized and now teleports Tawa to the nearest valid respawn point.
Added a temporary safety system to detect when the player falls out of the map and prevent softlocks.
Improved ground detection, collision handling, and reduced unintended sliding.
Optimized creature activation and distance-based management.
Improved internal terrain and vegetation tools to reduce performance cost.
Some additional technical issues previously reported (such as terrain loading edge cases, map-related glitches, and specific collision problems) are not forgotten and are still being actively investigated. A few of these issues have been difficult to reproduce consistently, but they remain a priority.
I would like to give a special thanks to Joséguinart and Bluebeak for their recent feedback, which was especially constructive and very helpful in identifying and prioritizing these improvements.
A Discord server has also been created and is still in its early stages. Steam remains the main place for shared information, but if you prefer more direct discussions or feedback, you are welcome to join the Discord.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to test the game and share feedback. More fixes and polish are coming in the next updates.
