addedRedesigned the shop page. Some players said it felt too packed with information, so it's been split into two pages. One for expansions, renovations, and the upcoming restaurant/branch paths, and one for managing operations and strategies. That's right, the follow-up branches for the restaurant and sub-locations are finally done too. Worried you'll have nothing left to aim for after paying off that million? Then start working toward a new goal!
addedRedesigned the half-year goals page! It used to be purely dialogue-based, but since some players found the goals too hard to reach and others found them too easy, the half-year goals now have their own little system that sets targets closest to your current stats.
changedAlso redesigned the Five-Star Kitchen Championship content. Before, it was purely based on Reputation, experience, recipe count, etc. Now it combines character growth data with actual gameplay elements, making the Five-Star Kitchen content much richer overall!
addedAdded a Fate Shop for meta-progression to replace some achievements. I'd seen some complaints about having to play through bad endings people didn't want just to complete all achievements, which isn't fun. But giving no reward at all after going through them would feel unrewarding too.
addedSo some content not covered by achievements can now be unlocked in the Fate Shop, carrying buffs into your next run!
changedThere are also a few small improvements: Mood and Stress now display specific values in addition to the three status indicators.

Anyway, this is a progress update for the full release — please take a look, everyone! Here's what's been done recently~

Redesigned the shop page.

Ok you've got it, next one!

Redesigned the half-year goals page! It used to be purely dialogue-based, but since some players found the goals too hard to reach and others found them too easy, the half-year goals now have their own little system that sets targets closest to your current stats.

Ok you've got it, next one!

Also redesigned the Five-Star Kitchen Championship content. Before, it was purely based on Reputation, experience, recipe count, etc. Now it combines character growth data with actual gameplay elements, making the Five-Star Kitchen content much richer overall!

Ok you've got it, next one!

Added a Fate Shop for meta-progression to replace some achievements. I'd seen some complaints about having to play through bad endings people didn't want just to complete all achievements, which isn't fun. But giving no reward at all after going through them would feel unrewarding too.

So some content not covered by achievements can now be unlocked in the Fate Shop, carrying buffs into your next run!

Ok you've got it, next one!

Remember the cheat mode on the mode selection screen? The in-game modifier is now live! Cheat mode can't unlock achievements or earn Fate Points, but it's great for a fun, carefree playthrough!

Ok you've got it, next one!

The mystery reasoning content is also written and configured. Look forward to it!

That said, the reasoning route just tells the backstory and broader narrative, so if that's not your thing, there are other ways to get through the tough spots~

Ok you've got it, next one!

There are also a few small improvements: Mood and Stress now display specific values in addition to the three status indicators.

Some recipes now have seasonal variations. Moon Cakes, for example, are especially popular during the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Staff outfit unlocking and changing is now configured.

And in the later years, there are some additional mini-competitions out in the world, like a pure spice challenge, which have been written in too.

That's all for this update! Not sure if this will be the last progress report, or maybe the second to last? Hope to meet you all soon, and thank you so much for your continued support of Taste of the Wind, and for your patience!

Thank you all, see you soon! :)
