Free Soccer Champions Outfits for Everyone, Legacy Player DLC Rewards, and Major Combat Improvements

Hello, everyone!

This update brings new outfits for every Tamer player, two free DLC packs for our original launch supporters, and one of our largest combat improvement passes yet.

We also have new details about Deep Jungle: Endless Hunt, our updated Block 1 content, and the systems currently in development.

Free Soccer Champions Outfits for Every Player

We are adding an entirely new collection of outfits inspired by this year’s soccer champions, and every Tamer owner will receive them for free.

There is no additional DLC purchase required. Once the update is installed, every player will be able to unlock and use the new outfit skins.

We wanted to create something fun that the entire community could enjoy together, and we hope you have as much fun using them as we had making them.

Free DLC for Our Original Launch Supporters

When Tamer entered Early Access, many of you supported the game at its original $39.99 launch price. Your early support gave us the opportunity to continue expanding the game, improving its systems, and building toward the complete experience we envisioned.

As a thank-you, all qualifying legacy players will receive two outfit packs completely free:

Blind Bunny Costume Pack

Pajama Party Costume Pack

NOTE: Please allow a few days for delivery. We will be sending them out as fast as we can.

We originally considered making these outfits permanently exclusive to our launch supporters. However, we heard from newer players who wanted an opportunity to add them to their collections as well.

Rather than locking the outfits away forever, both packs will also be available as optional paid DLC. Our original supporters will still receive them completely free, while players who joined us later will have the option to purchase them.

Major Combat Improvements

This update also includes one of our largest combat polish passes so far.

We have continued refining the combat system based on player feedback, internal testing, and our work on Deep Jungle: Endless Hunt. The new mode has given us a dedicated environment where we can quickly test weapon balance, enemy behavior, combat readability, and new mechanics.

Some of the most noticeable improvements include:

  • Floating damage numbers have been added.

  • Critical hits are now clearly displayed.

  • Enemy HP bars have been updated for better readability.

  • Weapons now have more distinct strengths and playstyles.

  • Staggered enemies can no longer continue walking around.

  • Stagger states are now easier to recognize during combat.

  • Weapon balance has also received another tuning pass.

Spear

The spear remains the most balanced all-around weapon.

It offers reliable reach, consistent damage, and dependable adrenaline generation.

Club

The club now generates significantly more stagger against enemies, making it a strong choice for controlling groups and interrupting attacks.

Its adrenaline generation has been slightly reduced to balance its increased crowd-control potential.

Axes

Axes now provide the highest sustained damage against a single target.

They also generate slightly more adrenaline than the spear, but their shorter range requires players to fight much closer to the enemy.

This makes axes our highest-risk, highest-reward weapon option.

Our goal is for choosing a weapon to meaningfully change how you approach combat, rather than simply changing the animations you see.

Please continue sharing your feedback as you test these changes. Combat will remain an important area of development throughout Early Access.

Deep Jungle: Endless Hunt Arrives in August

Development on Deep Jungle: Endless Hunt continues to move forward, and we are currently targeting the end of August for its first public release.

The initial release will establish the foundation for a mode that can continue growing throughout Early Access.

In addition to providing a repeatable endless combat experience, Endless Hunt gives our development team a dedicated sandbox for:

  • Testing new enemy types

  • Experimenting with combat improvements

  • Balancing weapons

  • Introducing new gameplay mechanics

  • Testing progression systems before bringing them into the main campaign

Many of the combat changes included in today’s update were first developed and tested inside Endless Hunt.

We are excited to get the first version into your hands and continue developing the mode with your feedback.

Updated Block 1 Content Targeting the End of October

We are still on track to release the updated Block 1 content at the end of October.

Development is also continuing across several other major systems, including:

  • The cooking system

  • The dinosaur taming minigame

  • Fort building

  • Additional quality-of-life improvements throughout the game

We will have more to share about these systems as they move closer to release, including a closer look at the new taming minigame.

Thank you for continuing to support Tamer throughout Early Access.

Every bug report, review, suggestion, and piece of feedback helps us understand what is working, what still needs attention, and where the game should go next.

We are excited for you to experience the combat improvements in this update, and we look forward to welcoming everyone into Deep Jungle: Endless Hunt in August.

Much Love, and Dinosaurs
