Happy New Year! First update of Syringebound brings some gameplay changes and overall fixes that definitely makes a game a better experience!
New mechanics:
Adrenaline System
If you manage to kill 10 enemies in 10-second window between each other, you now enter an Adrenaline State. Adrenaline State grants you Infinite Ammo and Lower Weapon Recoil for 15 seconds.
Cooldown
one minute.
Melee Combat adjusted:
Kick: You can now kick enemies to knock them backward dealing some damage (costs stamina).
Headbutt now deals significantly more damage.
Added light knockback on enemies when shot at very close range.
Powerups are now possible to drop from zombies: Double Points and Instakill.
Explosive Crates are here. Rechargable every 60 seconds, they can be used to kill a lot of enemies at once.
Enemies now get enraged when they haven't taken damage for 45 seconds. They become 2.5x faster.
Visuals:
Enemies now explode into blood and leave body parts upon death.
Map got adjusted for better game feeling, added shadows and much better visibility (no fog yet...).
Added hit markers.
Crosshair now changes colors when targeting an enemy.
Screen gets redder when low on health.
Syringe debuffs now provide new visual effects.
Added a flashlight.
Balance:
Player now have basic regeneration by default.
The Health Syringe now grants both max health and regeneration speed (stacking means more stats).
Stamina regeneration adjusted. Stamina Syringe now grants increased stamina regeneration.
Adjusted statistics for all weapons.
Adjusted fall damage calculations.
Increased the limit of enemies active at once. This is experimental so let me know how it feels!
Quality of Life
Added full support for Polish and Armenian languages.
Added a label showing how many enemies are currently alive.
The game is now capped at 144 FPS.
Bug Fixes:
Fixed an issue where players could buy "Ammo" for nothing in return.
Fixed an issue where shooting near buy stations/syringe areas would hit "air" instead of enemies.
