Hello, Operators!

Over the past few weeks, we took a major step forward: we released the initial SYNCLIT demo and participated in the festival. Our main goal was to gather first impressions, observe how players interact with the systems, and better understand how the core mechanics feel in practice.

From the very beginning, we understood that the project was still at a very early stage of development. Many systems are still evolving, several core features are not fully implemented yet, and the current version doesn’t provide enough narrative context or gameplay clarity to fully represent the direction we want SYNCLIT to evolve toward.

A lot of the feedback we received closely matches our own internal roadmap and the exact areas we already planned to improve.

Current Development Focus

Right now, the team is fully focused on active development, with particular attention on several core areas:

  • Pacing & Readability Improving UI readability and overall gameplay clarity during combat and exploration.

  • Deckbuilding Depth Expanding card mechanics, tactical synergies, and progression systems to give players more strategic control over their builds.

  • Traversal & Movement Refining and polishing movement throughout the simulation to make traversal feel smoother, tighter, and more responsive.

  • Narrative Integration Expanding narrative context and improving player understanding of the world, the simulation, and what is truly at stake.

Demo Status Update

Because we are now diving deeper into these systems and reworks, we’ve decided to temporarily take the demo offline while development continues.

We want to ensure that anyone discovering SYNCLIT for the first time gets an experience that properly reflects our design goals and the direction of the project. Leaving an outdated build available could create the wrong impression of where the simulation is headed.

What’s Next?

The next version of SYNCLIT will return with deeper deckbuilding systems, more polished traversal, stronger narrative context, and a far more cohesive overall experience.

Thank you to everyone who played the demo, shared feedback, joined discussions, posted impressions, and supported us during this important stage of development. 💙

Your feedback is genuinely helping us shape a much stronger game.

We’ll return soon with a much stronger version of the simulation. Steam post image
