Swordcery changes
Hey everyone!
Got a spicy update for you today, with a brand new enemy for the Shardling Kingdom and a Greatsword that's sure to end it all cooool...
Let's cut it up.
AN ANGRY, FIREBALL-THROWING PROBLEM
Not only is the Shardling Kingdom is officially alive and kicking, but this dude is just WAITIN to ruin your day.
Meet the Pebblemancer, an angry little caster rock wizard who rides around on a giant tome (cause he's just that smart). He is not here to make friends. He is here to hurl fireballs and sling fire blades.
As the advanced caster of the Shardling peoples, the Pebblemancer will be tossing everything except his book directly at your face. His main tricks include summoned fiery blades that shoot off at intervals and a 3 part spell combo that ends in a rapid fire tri-beam. He'll also strafe around on his book to avoid your attacks, cause apparently it's got pretty decent handling and mileage.
WITNESS HIM
Here’s a little look behind the curtain at some of the Pebblemancer’s animations. Above is his nav set, which helps sell the feeling that this angry little wizard rock is always gliding around with purpose. Then we’ve got a look at his spell combo that ends in the fiery tri-beam!
A SWORD TO CHILL YOU OUT
On the other end of the elemental temperature scale, we’ve got Excaliburrrr, a new legendary Greatsword that has clearly been forgotten in the lake over the winter. Its swordcery unleashes a huge wave of icy spikes from the ground that hits on the way out and then BURSTS. The attack also grows in size/damage as you level it up.
Bonus: Quality of Life Improvement
You may have caught it in the video already, but... minimap icons are now in! You'll now easily be able to see any potions left behind, dropped swords, relics, start room etc.
Thanks for reading, and thank you as always for the support. We'll bring you more chaos, more rocks, and more nonsense soon!
Stay cool, stay fiery,
-Don and Mike
