Sword & Shield Simulator changes
You can’t forge a legendary blade out of nothing.
Every sword, shield, and piece of armor starts as basic raw materials. In Sword & Shield Simulator, collecting these resources is a big part of the adventure. Some materials are available from traders, but the best ones are found by exploring outside the city.
Mining & Smelting
A forge always needs both fuel and metal.
With a pickaxe, you can explore the world to find resource deposits and gather materials needed for blacksmithing.
Here are some of the resources you might find:
Coal, used to fuel furnaces and keep the forge running.
Iron Ore: The basic material for making weapons and tools.
Cupronickel: A rare and valuable metal that lets you try out special alloys with different hardness and flexibility.
Traders sometimes sell these materials, but mining them yourself is usually the best and cheapest way to get them.
Scavenging the Battlefield
The war with the Order of the Black Swords leaves behind a lot of destruction.
If you’re resourceful, you can find useful materials on abandoned battlefields. Helmets, armor, and broken swords can all be picked up and brought back to your forge with your cart.
Back at your forge, you can melt them down and turn them into new metal ingots, ready for reuse.
Life as a Lumberjack
Steel isn’t the only thing you’ll need.
Many tools, shields, and crafting projects require quality wood. You can travel to nearby forests, equip an axe, and harvest designated trees.
After cutting down a tree, you can bring the logs to a sawmill. There, a minigame lets you cut planks as precisely as possible. Better cuts mean better materials.
Herbalism & The Local Herbalist
Exploring can lead to some surprising rewards.
Forests and fields are full of herbs, flowers, and mushrooms to discover. If you gather these and bring them to the local Herbalist, you can unlock useful alchemy recipes.
Some recipes are especially helpful for unusual tasks, like sneaking around at night.
Hidden Treasures
The world is filled with locations worth exploring.
Ancient ruins, old outposts, and forgotten settlements might have hidden chests full of useful rewards.
If you explore every corner of the map, you might find rare resources, valuable goods, or even crossbow ammo.
In Sword & Shield Simulator, every resource has its own story.
Whether you find it in a mine, on a battlefield, or in a hidden chest, every material gets you closer to forging something legendary.
