Rumburg, 1948 - Merkopa this week marked the 50th anniversary of the Treaty of Glenhill, which ended the Rumburg–Wehlen conflict and returned control of Datefort to Rumburg, a city with a significant Rummish population. Commemorations reflected a mixture of solemn remembrance and reflection, honoring those who lost their lives in the conflict while also acknowledging the war’s lasting impact on minority communities in the region. Across Rumburg, a minute of silence was observed, with ceremonies held in Glenhill, Thornbourgh, and Dedway as a sign of national solidarity.

The Treaty of Glenhill is widely regarded as a key milestone in the region’s history, establishing a demilitarized zone along the Rumburg–Wehlen border. The agreement also confirmed Rumburg’s control over Datefort and the Steelfield region, while granting the country secured rail and transport rights.
