All the seafood was tender and it was complimented by the flavors of the broth, where I could taste hints of sweet and smoked paprika, white wine, onion, tomatoes and garlic. Steam post imageDear Citizens of the Suzerainverse,

After an incredible round of community voting, and plenty of delicious decision-making, we're excited to finally announce the winner of the Lorscha Cooking Competition!

First Place: TorenD

Congratulations to TorenD whose imaginative interpretation of the beloved Sordish delicacy won over both our community and judges.

Drawing inspiration from their Cajun heritage in Acadiana, Louisiana, they reimagined the dish through the lens of classic Cajun cuisine, taking cues from local favourites like gumbo. The result was a creative fusion that perfectly captured the spirit of the competition.

Their ingredients each came with a story: shrimp caught in the Gulf of Mexico by a neighbour, crab caught by their wife while visiting family in Alaska, and store-bought mussels. The finished meal was enjoyed with a light beer for them and a seltzer for their wife. It looked absolutely delicious!

As our grand prize winner, TorenD receives:

  • A €100 Steam Gift Card

  • The Artist of the Suzerainverse Discord role

  • Access to future playtesting opportunities
