Our 2nd Playtest has officially come to an end, and we want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who joined the arena, shouted spells, and helped us improve the game by sharing your feedback.
Seeing players cast spells with their voices, come up with hilarious incantations, and battle each other in chaotic magical duels was incredibly fun to watch. Your feedback, bug reports, and gameplay clips have been extremely valuable to the development of Super Shout Showdown.
Based on everything we learned during the playtest, we’d like to share what’s coming next.
A New Co-op PvE Game Mode
One of our biggest upcoming additions is a brand new PvE mode.
In this mode, you will be able to play solo or team up with friends to face new challenges together. We won’t reveal too many details just yet, but we’re excited to introduce a new way to experience the game outside of PvP.
Stay tuned for more information in an upcoming announcement!
Free-For-All Improvements
Free-For-All is already chaotic and fun, but we believe it can be even better.
We are planning to introduce random events that can occur during matches. These events will temporarily unlock powerful spells, create unpredictable situations, and add new environmental secrets for players to discover.
Expect matches to become even more wild and unpredictable.
Spells Improvements
Of course, there wouldn’t be an update without new spells.
In addition to new spells, existing ones will also receive improvements and balancing. Some spells will gain additional polish, while others may introduce new status effects such as:
Slow
Stun
Blind
Burn
Silence
And more
Expect the spell system to keep evolving.
Game Economy
In the next update, not everything will be unlocked from the start anymore (sorry!).
Players will begin with some starter spells and basic cosmetics, but additional spells, outfits, and emotes can be unlocked using resources earned by playing matches.
You will be able to:
Unlock new cosmetics & emotes
Craft spells using spell scrolls
Expand your magical arsenal over time
Player Statistics
We’ll also start tracking player statistics based on your matches.
You will be able to view things like:
Total wins
Your most used spells
Multi-kill moments
Other interesting gameplay stats
This will allow you to better track your progress and achievements in the arena.
Achievements and Titles
Achievements are coming to the game!
Completing achievements will reward you with titles that appear above your display name. Whether you want to show off your skill, dedication, or chaotic spellcasting abilities, titles will help you stand out in the arena.
Because let’s be honest — who doesn’t want to flex a Legendary title?
Tutorial
While many players quickly figured out the core mechanics, we still want to make the experience smoother for new players.
A tutorial system will be added to introduce the game’s mechanics, explain different modes, and help new Casters get started more easily.
Speech Recognition Improvements
We’re also improving the speech recognition system.
Players will soon be able to choose between different speech recognition models depending on their preference — whether you prefer faster response time or higher accuracy.
This should make voice casting feel even smoother.
...And Much More
These are just some of the updates currently in development. We’re continuing to work on improvements, new ideas, and additional features that we’re excited to share in the future.
Thank You
We’re incredibly grateful for the support and enthusiasm from everyone who participated in the playtest.
Watching players shout anime spells and battle each other in chaotic magical fights is exactly the kind of fun we hoped to create.
We can’t wait to show you what’s coming next.
See you in the arena!
