addedWhats next? I'll be looking at doing a Quality of life and Bugfix pass next week, in addition the first Major balance pass of weapons, Upgrades and ships will start taking place. To do this effectively I'll be looking at making some new in game tools, such as a DPS meter to let players make the decisions that work for them, and help me balance weapons. All these changes will be added to the demo, which will remain available after NextFest until further notice. More updates soons.
addedWeapon & Balance changes Fighters have been given some additional speed boosts when returning to craft Escorts have been equipped with jump drives and scale with player movement better Rapid fire chain guns have been given heavier ammunition to help them keep up Fighters and Escorts have been given a new frame in the overlay interface to show the individual weapons
addedAdded a element to the armoury to display which mission has the next research tier unlock, as well as displaying if the next tier is unavailable in the demo.
fixedFixed more crashes than can write down
fixedFixed an issue of passive weapon damage increases not reflecting in the overlay interface
changedPerformance increases when large number of enemies are still alive This should hopefully keep the frames in the 20-40 minute windows Optimized how turrets pick targets when multiple are available in arc Optimized how Explosions and AOE effect mass group Reduced VFX spawns further away from player More pathfinding optimizations.
