Hey everyone! We’ve been watching your runs, digging through your feedback, and tuning the demo to make every session smoother, punchier, and more fun. Today’s patch brings a big batch of balance tweaks, quality‑of‑life upgrades, performance boosts, and a whole swarm of fixes.

Steel Swarm: SURVIVOR changes
Let’s get into it.
⚔️ Balance & Gameplay
Reduced Blackmarket costs
Lowered base HP Regen, and increased HP Regen upgrade values
Adjusted character stats: Dynamo has slightly less Speed and Luck
Several enemies now fire faster or from longer range; Riot Suppressor HP increased; Pirate Machine Gun range reduced.
Increased time before final overdrive in Record Store – Normal and updated mission text (record tape).
- Rebalanced upgrades for smoother DPS curvesstronger Muzzle Heat , reduced Cooling Duration , Rate of Fire , and Attack upgrades.
- Weapon tuningSlugshot , Rocket Launcher , and Hand Gun hit harder; Taser Gun hits softer; Hand Gun damage slightly reduced but overall DPS unchanged.
🎮 Controls, UI & QoL
Gamepad rumble added for key moments like taking damage, critical health heartbeat, menu interactions and more…
Added screen shake toggle, sound feedback in Settings, and visual polish across menus.
Weapon cards & pause menu now show detailed stat units; crit chance now shown as percent.
Formation selection auto-selects Save when 6 slots are filled.
Improved upgrade highlighting logic for weapon-specific and non-weapon upgrades.
⚙️ Performance & Audio
General performance boosts; Low/Medium settings now run faster (great for Steam Deck).
- Audio mix cleaned upreduced overly loud SFX, fixed police sirens cutting off, fixed loud first-time character select and more…
🐞 Bug Fixes
Fixed weapon-specific upgrades only applying to the first weapon of that type.
Fixed incorrect highlighting for same-type weapons.
Fixed UI issues on 16:10 screens (Steam Deck friendly).
Various small UI and audio fixes.
