Starminer changes
We are getting ready to deploy our next major update, but before we push it out to everyone on the main branch, we want to make sure it gets some solid testing.
You can opt into our beta branch to get an early look at what we've been working on and help us squash any critical bugs in Patch 4.
Main branch should be updated in a couple of days with more fixes!
Getting into the beta is quick and easy. Just follow these steps:
Open your Steam Library.
Right-click on Starminer and select Properties...
In the window that pops up, click on the Betas tab on the left.
Under Beta Participation, use the dropdown menu to select beta.
Steam should immediately start downloading the update. (If it doesn't, restarting Steam usually forces it).
To switch back to the regular game at any time, just go back to that same dropdown and select None.

New map: Triton Ice Cluster in Neptune's orbit: lots of ice and hostile activity - come prepared!
Togglable modes buttons on the top - switch between 4 modes - tactical (default), pilot (locked cam), autopilot (enable AP functionality) - build (enables building) - we will continue to expand on the functionality of these modes
New water efficiency modifiers can now be research to further reduce water consumption
Individual weapon sound effects
Loqui Station becomes possessable at the end of the Homebound objective chain

Only one Mega Solar Frame can be built per planet
Survival score repositioned on the HUD
Increased visibility and brightness of scanning effects
Hangarship icons no longer scale with distance
Updated product icons
Adjusted starmap location positions to prevent overlap
Updated icons for nuclear fuel and the automation window button
Lowered ordnance requirement for the Foundations mission
Tweaked fighter engagement range
Ammo production changed from 2 iron per 4 ammo to 1 iron per 10 ammo
Solar panel and thermal radiator opening audio no longer plays too many times at once

Fixed Mega Solar building objective not registering or updating
Removed stray explosion effects on map load
Fixed resource transfer inside the hangarship, including between docked ships
Fixed a trading issue
Fixed drill extracting the wrong resource on high yield patches
Ares Station no longer self-produces colonists (was blocking completion of the Foundations mission on Saturn)
Fixed missiles not damaging hostile stations
Mission dialogues no longer restart for completed story missions
Changed Kerrel facility objective to a digital upload
Fixed broken "deliver thorium to Medium Station" special objective
Fixed a crash when placing build points
Chunks now stop moving after a minute
Fixed premature scanning of Panonia
Fixed officer construction efficiency modifier breaking construction
Fixed officer trade modifiers
Fuel efficiency modifier now correctly lowers fuel used per jump
