Post Steam Next - StarBoost Updates
With the DEMO release on Steam Next Festival we have reached an important milestone. StarBoost has gone public and we are proud to say that so far the experience has been quite good. We decided to keep the demo online and up to date - so don‘t worry if you missed SteamNext...
All in all the game was really stable for a first shot which is what we worked towards. Though we could have climbed the charts a bit higher, StarBoost has been seen, tested and wishlisted in many parts of the world.
We got feedback about some issues and aspects of the game not working great yet and we already implemented some of the changes to make the controls and the tutorials smoother.
Thanks to everyone who has send a feedback form or left a post in the game's discussion board - that is helping greatly to smooth out any frustration points new players might have!
Our vision of StarBoost hast grown and we are moving forward to the next big goal: Early Access.
Next Steps
We have much more content and features planned before we go into EA. This includes improving the general racing feel, extending the action with more enemy types, powerups, special abilities and more, but also a part of the game that has been hidden away in the Demo: Discovery.
Discovery mode offers a more chill and unrestricted flight and unveils the background of intergalactic Racing Sport. Apart from exploring and interacting with the world, players will discover and unlock hidden racetracks for solo/tournament mode and customize the track with different interact mechanics. Learning about the history and present of the tournament and earning more and more reputation and power as a successful racer, you get the chance to decide not only about the future of intergalactic racing sport, but also about its consequences for whole Civilizations and Planets.
Build updates & Feedback
We are now continuing to iron out issues we noticed during the SteamNext week and patch the game with the most critical updates we worked on during the past week. The most recent build just went online this evening and addresses a range of aspects, from balancing to straight bug fixes. So we keep the demo up to date and are happy to appear on your wishlists and to receive more feedback.
