Dear Lords, Ladies, Barons, Dukes, and Archons.
After an exciting, wild ride in Early Access, we are thrilled to bring you the full release update for Star Dynasties! Another heartfelt thank you to everyone who submitted their feedback during Early Access, we've come a long way since then.
In case you missed it, this update's major addition is the Colony Improvements mechanic. For more information on that, check out the preview.
If you are new to Star Dynasties, or a returning player who needs a refresher, here is a quick rundown of what you can expect from the game:
Star in Your Own Space Opera A feudal society is built upon strict rules and values. It will be expected of you to defend your vassals, protect your family and respect your neighbours. Of course, there are plenty of more... dubious ways to get what you want.
Reign Among the Ruins of a Forgotten World The remnants of humanity live inside structures which they cannot build, and travel inside machines whose workings are unfathomable. Expedition Events can grant you a piece of pre-Collapse knowledge; from the relics of a previous age of exploration, to the mysteries of the here and now. Improve your colony by repairing the pre-collapse buildings and installations you encounter to provide your people safety, food and other necessities.
Experience a Rich Galaxy of Emergent Characters and Storylines You’ll be kept on your toes by a procedurally generated cast of hundreds of characters, each one trying to achieve their own personal goals. As events transpire, the choices you make can have a major impact not just on you; but on your heir, your house, and the fate of your empire.

Changelog
Colony Installations
Colonies are now composed of installations, which can be functional or in disrepair
Functional colonies provide benefits to their direct ruler and possibly to allied rulers as well
The "Maintain Colony" assignment has been replaced by "Repair Installation"
The base wealth generated by a colony now depends on specific installations rather than infrastructure
The vassal limit bonus from infrastructure has been removed, and is instead provided by specific ranged installations
Starting traits related to infrastructure or colony details have been replaced
The mod tool allows you to add new installations and manipulate them in story events and custom actions
Starting Traits
Instead of hardcoded modifiers, different difficulty settings now grant the player a different amount of starting trait selection points
Rebalanced starting trait costs
Added Custom and Challenge difficulty levels
Added a warning to the trait selection screen, warning the player if they pick a starting character with poor reputation
Improvements
Added Seduce action
You can now name children that are born in your house
Added 9 expedition events, and a new batch of story events
Added Steam achievements
Replaced a subset of the game's icons
Added new artwork
Improved mid/late game UI performance
Improved AI usage of assignments
Reduced random death at a young age
You can now disable map panning except using the mouse (some users have reported the map scrolling outside of their control)
Added warning that you will lose the game if you accept a request for submission
Added a suggestion when a war is about to expire
Changes
Tweaked game generation to avoid starting factions that are too spread out
A character in love is less likely to propose, accept, or stay in illicit romances that are not with the character they love
A character cannot fall out of love immediately
You will no longer be invited to feasts hosted by very distant characters
Clicking the suggestion that there are multiple idle members now brings up the house instead of cycling through the idle members
After a system rebellion, unrest is now reset to 25, not 50
Reduced random flare ups of unrest
Dukes and Archons are less likely to surrender their faction, or agree to become a vassal
The AI is less likely to make a request if you have recently refused it
It is no longer possible for one of your barons to grant their allegiance to another duke in exchange for combat support, if you are already supporting them yourself
Tweaks to text, events, tutorial
Fixes
Fixed bug that wasn't allowing assassinations to complete successfully (watch out!)
Fixed scenario in "Love Transcends Spacetime", where the player marries the time traveller without prompting
Fixed bug in flags providing a bonus to your vassal limit
Fixed bug where vassal limit was not being recalculated immediately when stopping the Monitor Vassals assignment
Fixed bug in predicted effects for the choice to not allow a house member to travel while on assignment
Fixed bug with Combat Buildup UI stating the attacker has surprise when in fact they have lost it
Fixed bug where the happiness from becoming a ruler was being applied twice
Effects that change skill bonuses on a council member or head now immediately update a house's area scores
Fixed bug where opinion was not always factoring in the Improve Relations bonus
Fixed some popups not being shown when they should on lower than "normal"

Added prerequisites to custom actions, to invalidate an action in a way that is shown to the player
Added "Do Win the Game" effect
The "Do Gathering" effect now allows you to trigger a gathering in a location other than the hosting house's home system
Added "Is Current Location Of" filter
Added "Has Assignment With Reference Type" filter
Added "Is Member Of Same Domain As" filter
Added "Base Wealth Generated" flag effect
