Dev Log – January Update

Happy New Year everyone — hope 2026 treats you well.

This month I kept pushing on multiplayer syncing, continuing the work from the previous update. I won’t list everything here — there were simply too many changes, and most of them are very technical (server connections, actions, syncing logic, etc.). Overall, things are now more stable and predictable under the hood, and I’m happy with the progress so far. There isn’t much major work left in this area.

At some point, I’ll release a playtest build for anyone who wants to help with testing, mainly focused on multiplayer.

What’s new in the rest of the systems

  • Added a small personal room so you can sleep and skip the rest of the night

  • Shop expanded slightly to give more room to move around and add new content

  • Warehouse area finished, including the Stocker and Sorter

  • Added a proper loading screen when switching scenes

  • Added outlines to furniture for better visibility and interaction feedback

  • Water improvements

  • New settings options:

    • VSync

    • FPS limit

    • Fullscreen

    • plus some movement and cursor speed settings

  • Removed extra box types to keep things more practical

  • Fishing improvements, including different fish depending on day or night

  • And more

Feel free to let me know if you have any suggestions or things you’d like to see added.

What’s next

I’m aiming by the end of this month or early next month to start working on the tutorial system. After that, I’ll focus on adding more quality-of-life improvements, mostly based on your feedback from the demo, along with new content.

If everything goes well, I may also have an Early Access announcement in March.

My goal is to release within Spring, but I don’t want to announce a date until I’m confident that everything planned for the Early Access build is finished and stable.

Thanks for your support.
