I'm incredibly excited to share this major update as we approach SproutBound's official launch! This release represents months of dedicated development, testing, and refinement based on invaluable feedback from our amazing beta testing community.
A huge thank you to all our beta testers who have helped shape SproutBound into what it is today. Your bug reports, suggestions, and patience during development have been absolutely crucial in making this the best farming idle game it can be.
**⚠️ IMPORTANT FOR BETA TESTERS: Please wipe your save data after updating to v1.0.10!**
Due to significant changes in the game's progression system, balance adjustments, and data structure improvements, existing saves may cause issues or provide an unbalanced experience. Starting fresh will ensure you get the intended v1.0.10 gameplay experience.
To wipe your save:
Go to Settings → Wipe Game
Your feedback on the new progression will be invaluable launch is finalized!
🔧 Bug Fixes

- PRESTIGE RESETFixed bug where prestige resets some progress on achievements that it should not have.
When prestiging plant counts, water counts, and harvest counts (among other stats) should be preserved
Prestiging should only reset what it says it resets in the modal
AUTOMATION SYSTEM: Major overhaul of automation behavior and reliability
Fixed automation interference with manual actions (irrigation/quickgrow no longer cancelled unexpectedly)
Fixed false automation detection when clicking blank cells that incorrectly cancelled irrigation
Fixed irrigation randomly turning off when clicking on plots
Fixed automation boundary checking - automation now properly respects plot boundaries
Fixed quickgrow automation conflicts with manual quickgrow actions
QUICKGROW PLANTS: Complete water system rework for quickgrow variants
Quickgrow plants now stay at 100% water permanently and never need watering
This eliminates water panic issues with 10-second growth cycles
Fixes numerous automation conflicts and timing issues with quickgrow plants
- CROSS-PLOT AUTOMATIONAdded user control over automation scope
New toggle button allows choosing between current-plot-only or all-plots automation
Prevents unwanted automation interference across different plot areas
Button shows active state with blue border when all-plots mode is enabled
- OFFLINE DETECTIONImproved offline mode sensitivity
Offline catchup now only triggers when app is actually closed, not when switching tabs/monitors
Eliminates false offline detection from normal multitasking behavior
Offline catchup now properly handles automation speeds based on upgrade level
- OFFLINE CATCHUP MODALFixed catchup completion message
Modal now correctly shows "Catchup complete!" when offline simulation succeeds
Fixed browser compatibility issue where process.env reference caused catchup to appear failed
Eliminated confusing "Catchup failed" messages when offline progression was actually working correctly
SEED PROGRESSION: Extended unlock chain to complete progression
Fixed broken unlock chain that stopped at olives (index 32)
Extended unlock requirements through grape (48 total chained seeds)
Each advanced seed now properly requires the previous seed to unlock

Proper cost calculation and validation for bulk purchases
TUTORIAL CLARIFICATIONS: Enhanced automation guidance in tutorial
Added clear explanation that automation timers are constant based on upgrade level only
Clarifies that irrigation, harvester, and tractor timing is NOT affected by plant water levels
Helps players understand automation behavior and upgrade value
LOG CONTROLS: Enhanced log management with intelligent rate limiting
Added configurable log update rate: 1s, 3s, 5s, or 10s intervals for automation batching
Play/pause button allows stopping log updates while keeping existing entries visible
Countdown timer shows time until next batch for intervals > 1s, displays "(Paused)" when stopped
Rate limiting reduces CPU usage during heavy automation while preserving all log information
Paused state completely skips logging to save performance, no queuing or processing overhead
Improved button positioning and removed confusing hover-to-pause behavior
⚖️ Balance Changes

- PLOT COSTS REBALANCEDDramatically increased plot expansion costs for late-game challenge
First plot now costs 100K coins (was 1.2K) - 83x increase
Plot costs scale aggressively: Plot 10 costs 2.45M, Plot 20 costs 116M, Plot 25 costs 753M
Plot expansion is no longer "essentially free" in late game
Creates meaningful strategic investment decisions throughout progression
