changedThis week, we tackled one of the biggest requests we received: Physics and Spin. Before diving into the changelist, a quick note on our philosophy: internally, we like to say we are more Mario Kart than Forza . We want Spooker to be our own unique "Pool-like" game, not a rigid, full-blown Snooker simulator. We aim for what feels incredible and fun to play. If a physics tweak is 95% accurate to real life but 100% more fun, that’s the route we’re taking!
addedHere is what’s new in today's update:
changed🔮 Physics & The Big "Spin" UpdateComplete Physics Overhaul: We heard you want a touch more realism, so we re-adjusted everything —from the bumpers and felt friction to individual ball mass. The game just feels incredibly smooth and satisfying now!
added🔮 Physics & The Big "Spin" UpdateCue Ball Spin is Here! A massive request this week. You can now hold the shoot button and use your movement controls to adjust spin before taking a shot. Now you can pull off those glorious backspin shots to sink a ball right next to a pocket without scratching!
added🔮 Physics & The Big "Spin" UpdateVisual Polish: To match the new spin physics, the cue stick now dynamically follows the exact hit point on the ball for extra visual realism.
changed🏆 Balance Adjustments & Trophy TuningWealth's Weight Trophy: We have applied a cap to the maximum bonus you can receive from this trophy. Level 1: Caps out at +25 Level 2: Caps out at +35 Level 3: Caps out at +50

Here is what’s new in today's update:

🔮 Physics & The Big "Spin" Update

  • Complete Physics OverhaulWe heard you want a touch more realism, so we re-adjusted everything —from the bumpers and felt friction to individual ball mass. The game just feels incredibly smooth and satisfying now!
  • Cue Ball Spin is Here! A massive request this week. You can now hold the shoot button and use your movement controls to adjust spin before taking a shot. Now you can pull off those glorious backspin shots to sink a ball right next to a pocket without scratching!

  • Visual PolishTo match the new spin physics, the cue stick now dynamically follows the exact hit point on the ball for extra visual realism.

🏆 Balance Adjustments & Trophy Tuning

  • Wealth's Weight Trophy: We have applied a cap to the maximum bonus you can receive from this trophy.

    • Level 1: Caps out at +25

    • Level 2: Caps out at +35

    • Level 3: Caps out at +50

  • Color Trophy Multiplier: We've toned down the bonus multiplier for having matching same-color trophies in your case. Instead of a 1x bonus per trophy, it is now 0.5x per trophy (applied starting from your second matching trophy onward).

🐛 Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug where the cue stick and power gauge would violently flicker when turning back on.

  • Fixed an issue where the Boss Table timeout penalty wasn't actually being applied to players.

  • Fixed a missing texture/material on the scoreboard.

Thank you all so much for playing, clipping your wildest shots, and sending us your thoughts. Keep the feedback coming as we head toward the full release!

Good luck out there, and let us know how the new spin physics feel! 🎱✨
