It’s hard to believe three months have already passed since Spirit X Strike launched. During this time, I’ve been busy addressing issues players encountered, while also preparing our very first major update.

What really surprised me is seeing the wishlists still growing. Knowing that so many of you are excited about Spirit X Strike means a lot. Any anxiety or uncertainty I had before has been replaced by a steady sense of purpose, thanks to your clear feedback and support. I am deeply grateful for your patience and love!

The first major update is scheduled to roll out next week. Here’s a quick look at what’s coming. Also, starting September 15, Spirit X Strike will join the XD Publisher Sale at 10% OFF, lasting for three weeks until the Autumn Sale ends on October 6.

Enemy Energy System

The biggest change in this update is the removal of the much-criticized “colored attack” of the enemy, replaced by the brand-new Energy System.

This means now all enemies can charge up energy. Instead of showing a direct attack warning, enemies now have various power attacks, and some of them remain parryable.

Enemies may unleash power attacks after gathering energy, or concentrate it on specific body parts. In short, enemies now feel more "intelligent." You’ll need to watch out for their feints designed to bait your parries, and carefully observe where energy is gathering to anticipate their next move.

Depending on enemy type, there are also different elemental energies: Blood Energy, Stone Energy, Spirit Energy, and more, each carrying unique effects. The Energy System is still being expanded and refined, so expect even more depth going forward.

Boss Rush

Also arriving in this update is the new Boss Rush mode: True Self Arena. On a small island in his meditation, Carter will face off against every boss currently in the game in a row, a classic staple for action games.

With the introduction of the Enemy Energy System, all bosses have been significantly rebalanced and now feature additional interactive mechanics to keep the fights fresh.

Expanded Air Combos

As some of you may have noticed, I have a personal fondness for air moves. In a recent patch, I slipped in nine new air moves for the Tiger and Eagle styles, though you might not have caught them.
